Shaking my head

So, I visit another forum, and this guy comes on and talks about how his collection of ball pythons is growing. And he's bragging about all his hets.

He has a pair of het for Super Mojave (wouldn't that just be two Mojaves, I'm thinking?). Then he goes on to say that he has three het pastels, 4 cinnamon hets that are double het for spider and ivory. And he says that he got a great deal on all of these hets he has from a guy going out of business - just $20K!!!!

Um....dude - if you just spent $20K for a bunch of normal looking snakes that you believe are het for all those traits - you've been had!

The only recessive gene that he has listed is Albino. Even that would be suspect to me if they all came from the same source.

Kinda of makes you sad that people would take advantage of others that way - but also you wonder who would drop $20K on something that they obviously haven't properly researched.

is he serious? i would initially think he was lying and trying to impress people.
the idea someone would swindle someone so horribly is too much for me to contemplate. i'll just assume he was mr. big head.

Robin,was their anyone correcting him and trying to explain to him thats not possible? Could you refer him to this site and we could try to him a clue? If you prefer not saying a word to this person pm me the info on the site and his user name and i will see if i can get thru.I will not slam him or the site,just try to let him know that was jacked.Then again i might allready be a member on that site and just missed his posting.Maybe he might still be able to get his money back if he even really has these snakes .

Well he has three members(yourself,another member and myself) confused now lol.We will see if he responds.Who ever has that site needs to change a few things,took forever to post my response.

I think the dude got it in the rear end. I also think it's a good thing someone made a post letting this dude know he probably took it in the rear end. For 20k, he should have bought some visible morphs...I would have. but that's just me.

Drink one for me then :cool: .I looked at his profile and i think he is full of it.States he is 18 and has been breeding for a couple years now.Also shows all these animals he has almost a hundred i think.Not too many 18yr olds with 20k to drop on some snakes,atleast none that i know of lol.

Hay Robin for his sake let's hope it's all B.S( The whole deal that is) I've read some stuff and sometimes you gotta wonder if their just taking everybody for a ride.

I haven't seen the thread and don't care to know which forum it's on. However, just from what I read here, I would bet my money on the fact that he's just blowing smoke. There are lots of people in the world that feel like they have to make up stories to somehow build themselves up in the eyes of others. It's just all the more pathetic when they try to do it with a subject they don't know enough about to form a moderately believable lie.

Its evadent he has no clue about ball pythons.He responded back saying he talked to the guys brother and the brother corrected him on what he really has:rolleyes: .He then says he is sending the brother(who really owned the snakes) another $15k ,because he feels the other brother(the one who sold them) ripped his brother off by selling them to low:P :rolleyes: .Members have asked for pics of these snakes so if he does post any pics we will see what they look like:P :8: .I will not be holding my breath though:P .

:taz: they're albino/normal morphs. leave him alone...look at the bellies of his snakes, they're white....hence...albino/normals. the snake is normal, except the white belly which is albino. those could sell for at LEAST 30,000 each.

I know someone that sounds JUST like that guy. He told me how he purchased some "het pastels" and they were REALLY special, blah blah.
