Yea they are produced from a Emory Rat snake crossed to a Amelinistic corn,i might have the Amel part wrong  .It is though a Emory rat x corn cross.I need to find something to remember what the crosses produce :P .If i am incorrect on the Amelinistic part and someone knows the correct answer please post lol:colbert2: .

Re: My Creamsickle pair
Nice snakes and I can tell you a very easy way to get better pictures of them. On a sunny day go outside and take the shots, keep shadows off the snakes and don't get the sun itself directly in the shot.
I promise you no matter the quality of the camera you will NOT BELIEVE the difference. Natural Light does amazing things to a snake picture.
Nothing wrong with the shots as they are just friendly advice :colbert2:

Re: My Creamsickle pair
Here is another tip. Get a big tub even if you are not a breeder and keep all your snakes in normal vivs they are always handy during cage maintence etc. Then you can use it for you snake when doing outside shots. Just let them crawl and wait for the shot you want to come. It take patience but you can't make them pose, specificly babies. I can get my adults to do just about anything, babies as you state are different.
You an also get some stuff to let he snake explore, branches, etc in the tub this occupies then and helps get better behaviour shots. And use a white or clear/white tub it bounces the light a lot better.

Re: My Creamsickle pair
Shaking can indeed blow a shot a mono or tri pod can help but just using something to lean on can be of emense help. A chair with a high back and kind of kneeling in it and using the back as a brace for instance.
Also you can practice shooting just moving your finger and not actually taking shots and only pay attention to the movement that helps.
Also have you noticed that there are more blurry pictures today with digitals then there ever was in the old days of prints? I will tell you why that is. Most people with a digital look at the screen and hold it away from their body when taking the shot. You are just not very steady that way.
If you take shots like the old days through the view finder you will get much better results or at least brace your elbows on your body and hold the camera close to the face and ONLY look at the screen not around or over the camera that is where "pulls" happen and blow the shot.
As for what I keep it is a laundry list. Here is a link to a post with lots of my snakes in it, http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=35803
Hope this is all helpful,

Re: My Creamsickle pair
Creams are a cross between a great plains rat (Emory) and an amel. I heard more specifically a sunglow, but i would say either would be about the same, just a slight difference in the background color (i would think the amel would be a lighter background color than if it was a sunglow). I may be wrong about the sunglow vs. amel aspect though.

Re: My Creamsickle pair
then there's also a frosted creamsicle, that is a cross with a grey rat (obsoleta spiloides) Judging by those pics they both, the female especially, almost look to be okeetee creamsicles. It looks like they have a white border around the saddles.

Yea she does have more white areas then he does.Someone said he looked tangerine creamsickle:confused: lol.

Re: My Creamsickle pair
i havent heard the name tangerine creamsicle before. If the white is mainly just borders, then id say its an okeetee, but it looks to be more of a pail background color too, which makes me think it may be a frosted, or maybe (again assuming im right about the amel vs. sunglow aspect) that it is from a regular amel and not a sun, which i would think would cause more of a white background rather than the orange backgound. But still yet, im just speculating about the amel/sun part. Ill try to look into that more tomorrow.
