:looks around for Joe: You got him Teusday right? I think you could try. Try around your bed time. They search for food at night . Good luck!!:D

Yeah... Joepythons isn't the only one who knows about corn snakes! LOL

I agree you could try tonight.

P.S. You call it albino... is it white and pink, with maybe a little yellow? If so, it's a snow. If it's just reds, whites, and oranges, than it's an amelanistic. Technically, there aren't really albino corn snakes. Blizzards are as close as it gets to being albino. Albino = no pigment. /end useless information

lol I know more people than just Joe know about corns. This is a special corn :P go and read the recent thread called "Rescue Attempt!?" This corn has never eaten before and Joe is well known with me for sharing tips and tricks to get snakies to eat. He also has a couple other issues mentions in the other thread.

Umm... since tuesday. Me and Joe had this planned for me to buy a pinkie today and attempt feeding. In which I already did and it's a no go. The corn is not active at all... never does anything O_o. I think it is the runt of the litter and will only feed if it is forced.

You've tried a small container completely sealed of from all light? Then again if the animal is unresponsive it may be to late. I don't think you should be trying force feeding unless you have done it yourself before.

No I'm not going to try to force feed it myself at all. I wouldn't even know how to get it to open its mouth.

OK after numerous requests for my knowledge on getting corn snake babies to eat i will post it for all lol. What i do is get the smallest pinky(mouse) for the babies first meal.I place them(snake &pinky) in a small container of course with holes for air lol.I place the container in a place where it will not be disturbed and check back in on it after 30 minutes. If the snake has not eaten leave for another 30 minutes. If snake still has not eaten place the pinky in a freezer bag and try it as a frozen thawed in about 3 days.I have had some babies that are scared of the live but will eat frozen thawed as there first meal.

Kilo, just pmd me and mentioned that the breeder never got this corn to eat before he gave it to the pet store:O .I have another way to get corn babies to eat.I place a frozen thawed pinkys head(whole pinky) inside the corns mouth and sometimes it gives them the kick they need,of course you have to be very gentle as you can hurt the snake. Kilo i wish you would have asked for some input on this snake before you bought it:( .I am not trying to be your Dad or boss but if the breeder never got it to eat it may never eat.Of course the breeder is very low for passing this snake on and so is the pet store:mad: .I will do my very best to help you get this corn to eat and thats a promise;) .

I'm not sure at all wether he has eaten or not. I was just wondering how long it would take a hatchling corn that has never eaten to pass on. I did ask the store if the breeder got him to eat.. they couldn't anwser me. The employee himself (the reptile man of the place) said he himself could not get him to eat! Pics coming soon... of the black spot and what not. Maybe he has poop in him!!!

I did not attempt anthing last night Joe... I was also waiting for you but did not see you on! I need to wait for you due to the fact I have no clue how to properly thaw and heat a frozen pinkie. Also didn't know how you wanted me to attemp to feed. As in just dropping it in his cage or using a small container like last time! We can team up tonight and give it another attempt? I'm in florida so I'm on eastern time. I will be arriving home at about 5pm. Will you be available?

EDIT: You also have an unanwsered PM from me :D .

Kilo, about a hour before you want to feed him take the pinky out and set it somewhere on a paper towel to thaw.Do not heat it up as it will blow and you WILL have a mess and then some:puke2: .Start out with just the snake and the pinky in that container.Leave them alone for a hour,NO PEEKING before this hour is up lol.I will try my best to be here:).O i did respond to your message three times :neener: lol

Oh wow... after only an hour the pinkie will put off a heat signature resembling that of live prey? That's cool. What will be the next step if this approach does not work?

Kilo, they really do not throw off a heat signature as they would if alive. It does throw off the smell of a rodent though. If this snake has ever eaten he should recognize the smell and eat it.Lets work on this step for now before we think of a next step.
