    A suprise visitor...
Well I decided to take some pics of the male Het. Clown. I was viewing the pics when I was resizing them and this little guy on his neck stuck out like a sore thumb. Darn ticks!!! First tick or mite I've had in my collection in over 3 years! This breeder is never going to see any money from me again. I found over 7 ticks in this bp's quarantine cage! Thats a ton considering this guys size!!!

Ticks can be a real problem. Sorry to hear that you got them. What breeder did you get it from so we will know and can be aware

Because snake ticks almost always come in already attached to wild caught or farm-hatched snakes. They're not like mites that will easily spread to an established collection. So it definitely makes the parentage of that snake look suspect.

Bingo. Judy do you think the breeder could have had this little guy in with a WC or something. I hate to try and look for the silver lineing but it really throws a dark cloud over things.

Sure....anything's possible. He could also have a tick problem SO severe that it has spread to his morph collection. Either way, it sounds like a scarey person to buy expensive hets from.

I wish he would let us know so we could steer clear of that breeder

7 ticks on a CB het clown? Big time red flag. I would seriously doubt this snake was anything other than a WC or CH normal.

If I found a tick on a het, I would DEMAND a full refund. It throws the genetics into question. Too many fake hets have appeared on the market.

Who was the seller? I want to make sure they NEVER get any business from me or anyone I know.

Its a definite het. I've known this guy for a couple years now, but this kind of has me a bit mad. I took pics of the mother laying, and pics of the parents breeding etc...I'm holding back this breeders name right now until I get this all cleared up. He breeds Bp's, Woma's, and Carpet pythons....a local breeder. If this little incident doesn't get cleared up you'd better bet that his name is going to be everywhere with bad reviews; especially the BOI! All I can say is watch about buying from alot of breeders in Toledo or NW Ohio. I've seen most of their animals and they're not the best quality, nor kept in the best conditions. I just loved this guys banding etc., so I purchased him. Not to sound like something fishy is going on here ;) This "breeder" was a bit suprised too about this, but theres no doubt in my mind he knew about this.

Don't worry Adam...I'm not going to buy anything as a definite het if I have doubts the animal is or if I have no proof it is.
