MY KSB got out!!! help

this morning this little bugger wasn't in the cage. I have four clamps on and then were all attached when I opened up the cage this morning. I'm in a small dorm room so i'm hoping he's chosen to stick around. I remember reading up on someone's that escaped a few months ago. Can you guys give me tips on where to look. I'm gonna make a bet that hes hiding in a pile of clothes somewhere.

Look around his tank and at places that may be warm....

yup it was mine. we found him under the 90 gallon fish tank. it's amazing how flat they can squish! i suggest you look under EVERYTHING. focus on the ground.

when mine got out the lid was still in place... don't know how he did it... but he did!

oh and if you have a kitty litter box or plants... look to see if it's buried itself there!

yeah his cage was def. "secure" or so I thought. my only BIG worry is that I live in a dorm room and I just hope he didn't leave my room.

i put my heating pad on the floor and put a pinky in a tuppleware container on the floor hopefully something good will come out of this. it's a small room so i feel like i've turned it upsidedown. there's probably just that ONE place he could be. I hope he didn't crawl into the trashcan

check the vcr thats where my iggy used to go right behind the tv and vcr and he would sit there for hours on end since its a really nice warm spot but hes gone now r.i.p. sam

:\ still no sign of this little guy. i have a heating pad on the floor with two f/t pinkies waiting for him to stop on by <so at least i know he still exists> this is pretty sad.

I hope you find him or that she shows up!!!

I keep Shadow in the biggest Critter Tote they make because I was scared to put him in a tank since I know they can be little climbers!

I'd put some live fuzzies in a tall container and leave them out for him/her. That'll bring him around faster and might give you a better clue.

i've done a total strip search of my room...i'm really starting to think he isn't in here. i've checked every box, every nook and cranny it seems. i just hope he is still around.

just keep hopin have u checked the bathroom, under the stove, under the refridge. well im outta ideas

hah, i'm in a dorm room, so i really don't have that many places, but yes have checked the bathroom, and every box and drawer thats in here, even places up high

is there a way he could get under the doors? Check under dresser drawers. Someone lost a KSB not long a go and found it like weeks later under their saltwater tank itty bitty space to boot. Keep looking they don't go far

yea i would take the computer apart i would take drawers outta dressers i just hope he didnt get outta the dorm

when my KSB escaped he went under the salt water tank. it's so low to the ground i didn't think a snake could actually fit!

so look low. low. low.

oh and yes... they can go under the door! :( but mine only went 3 ft from her cage!

OMG GUYS!!!! So this morning I"m moving my clothes to do laundry and I don't know if he was either hiding there (even though it is on top of something so he had to climb up in there) or if he was just traveling...anyways I probably almost stepped on him. My roommmate was sleeping so it was dark in the room, but I leaned down and was like is that Kenny, no, it's too small, and I got closer and it WAS!!! Now I have like 6 textbooks on top of his cage...I'm gonna go searching for a few bricks tonight.

Aren't they annoying? I rarely search for snakes anymore when they get out because I have never found one when I was looking. You can tear a room apart and never find them.

yeah it's crazy my roommate and I tore it apart three times! and my snake was probably just sitting there watching...I have no idea where he could have gone...he was found only four feet from his cage..but there is nothing in that four feet that he could have gotten under..maybe he ventured into my bathmate's room? who knows?! all I know is that I will be doing everything in my power to keep him in!

And I agree, searching for tiny snakes is soooo annoying. They can go virtually anywhere. With ball pythons, it's a little easier to find them for their sheer size. I've found all my escapees, though.. one being a hatchling california king. Boy was that fun. :P
