Re: Pics of qt tubs please
The biggest tub I would use for a ball python is a 41 quart tub.

BUT the biggest tub made can house most full grown boas.

I think tubs are better than tanks in alot of ways.
- Easier to clean
- Easier to keep humidity up
- Cheap
- Easier to keep temps up
- Smaller than tanks, so that means MORE SNAKES

Top pic is a 40quart Sterilite with locking lid. Bottom pic is a 41quart 1960series Sterilite tub. After going from a glass tank to tubs, it's amazing how much easier it is to keep them clean.
Re: Pics of qt tubs please
Also, people may think it's cruel to keep snakes in tubs like these, but actually its better for them because it gives them a sense of security.

Jamie, are those tubs on the right Iris's? I've heard the name but never seen pics of them. Must be some happy campers in there!

On the left, the 4 tubs are Iris brand sold at The Container Store (boot box). I like them because they are super easy to clean. I built a rack based on their size.
On the right is the ARS 7010 rack. ARS has the tubs custom molded for them but they are the same size as a CB70. I like them because they are super easy to clean and the molded in cupholder in the front works well for me.

Thanks everyone. I personally will keep my snakes in tanks unless they grow out of them. I don’t mind to have to spend a lot of time on my snakes. Since all my kids grew up these are my forever babies. Lol, So I’ll do what I must to help them live happily. Thanks for the feed back though:D

If you have the time and patience to maintain them, glass tanks are fine. There's also a guide to setting up glass tanks somewhere on this site that may have some helpful tips as well. Good luck, and we'd love to see some pics!:)

Re: Pics of qt tubs please
Had a glass tank once - also had a ball python that fasted for six months in that glass tank. The tank now houses crested geckos, and the snake is now in his own tub and eats every week. He prefers the security that the tub provides. In the end, for me, it's all about what's best for the snake, not trying to make a glass tank work, because it's more aesthetically pleasing to me.
Some people use glass tanks with great success (and a lot of work). I couldn't. My largest tub is the Sterilite 1986 model (41 quart tub).
