Other than this forum, what other ball python forums are worth the time and effort to join? Any favorites?

I lurk on quite a few, many aren't as family oriented as this one so I hesitate to recommend them but if you look around you'll find more.
Personally this is one of the better forums.

This is my fav forum for sure. I've been around some other ones but soon realized that using your freedom of speech is against their terms of service...I think if you dig deep in the TOS it says something like

"you will not speak unless spoken to. You will not ask stupid questions. You will not give any advice. Any thing you say or do can and will be used against you in my court of law...and you will be banned"

On this board, I've got nothing but great advice from people who truely love their animals. I've been inspired to keep going and do more than I ever meant to do in the first place...so I think I will be here for a long time.

Other boards I frequent or frequenty troll:

    - Ralph Davis: mostly ball python focused and can be quite an interesting read. I also love to catch up on RDR's journal and birthing record when possible.
    - Bob Clark: mostly the picture forum. Lots of amazing retics and other snake species that frequent bp.net posters do not own (and therefore don't post pictures of).
    - cornsnakes.com: cornsnake focused, obviously. I go there because I want to own a cornsnake eventually. There is also a lively off-topic forum there that's fun as well as a large population from Southern California, so events and socal reviews are cool.

Other boards I don't visit anymore because they didn't have much traffic or I was truly offended when I visited there.

I keep tabs on multiple forums, but this is the only one where I truly feel like "one of the gang"...just a gal who is into reptiles w/o pretense or any of the "who ya know" crap.

And being into the critters & having fun with them is what it's all about, when it all comes down to it.

Just my $3.50 (adjusted for fuel surcharge)...

    K~

    K~

I'm so glad you feel that way, Kara! Like I told you before, one of my favorite parts of Daytona was getting to know Kara the person, not Kara "you know who" :D

Another one of the people I had the pleasure of meeting from BP.net, and I'm so proud to call each of you from this forum who I met in Daytona "friend"!

    My favorite forum, hands down!

I hear you on that! I am on the verge of getting banned on a different forum for disagreeing with one of the "moderators". I use quotation marks because all they are are control freaks that spaz if someone suggests something they don't agree with. Eventually it will be the death of that site as more people catch on to it. I think bpkid knows what I mean :) . Anyways, this is by far the most fair and open forum I have been on.

    Peace!

The only thing with this site is the majority of the members are goofy:P .Yea we can all joke around without someone freaking out and banning everyone. We can agree and disagree without the fear of having our throats cut:eek: .To tell you the truth i am kinda scared to meet certain members from here face to face as they crack me up here enough;) :P .I could not get away from them in person:eek: :fishslap: :giggle: :giggle: .Of course i am just joking(maybe:cool: )

I've been on a few other forums and still check in occasionally, but Ball-pythons.net has the friendliest and most knowledgeable group I've come across. I spend the majority of my time right here. Thanks to all of you!

LOL. Too true, though. You get bombarded with questions such as, "wyh du u fed liev????!!! Ur snkae wil dei!!" or, "Any snake can be converted to f/t!!!" or even, "Consider yourself banned. :)"

Well, maybe not the last one.

There's a good reason why this is the ONLY forum I've ever remained active in for over a year.. and I love it. I've found a lot of great people on here.

I've checked out other forums, posted on a few, but none other has been so friendly, open, and supportive of newbies as this one.

Looks like a new forum that some regular posters on Kingsnake started. I recognize a lot of the names from KS, a few are moderators on the forum you linked to.
