People Magazine (Steve Irwin)

I just got the People Magazine issue with Steve Irwin on the cover. They had a short two page story of his life, and some nice pictures too. I especially liked the cover shot. Just wondering if anyone else has seen it too? There were two pictures of him with snakes. A full page one, and one of him with Jay Leno. They didn't mention the kinds of snakes they were though......anyone of you more experienced herpers know?

The pic of Steve alone is of him with an inland taipan/fierce snake (Oxyuranus microlepidotus), and the Jay Leno/Russell Crowe/Steve pic is 2 Diamond pythons (Morelia spilota spilota).

Thank you. I especially like that you included the Latin names too. I work with plants/trees and deal with Latin names all day....it's nice to see something new (animals).

Oh darlin', but how wrong you are! I do lubs ya on the Left Coast! It just so happens that the Anaheim Show falls on the same weekend that [*gasp!!*] I'm throwing a wake for my 20's[/*gasp!!*] and Kev's band is booked to play a show. We've both been hankering for some at-home downtime, so our Anaheim plans have been postponed till next year.

So now we have to find a way to convince you to Go East, young woman!!! ;)
