    My new male Sable!
This guy just got to the house, and low and behold Raul Gomez posts some pics of his fresh hatchling Super Sables, on another forum. Those things get me excited about my new breeding project. The pic isn't the greatest, but I'll try to get some better ones in a few days. Hope you enjoy it.

p.s. A big thanks to Matt and Kim from N.A.R.C.

    Thanks for looking,

    Beautiful snake!

How do you tell a real sable from something else?

The supers are pretty easy to recognize but the sable is one morph that I am completely lost with as far as being able to ID it without someone telling me what it is.

I'm incredibly jealous! I saw the pics of those supers, and thought I've GOT to have one of those! Unfortunately, they're waay out of my price range right now. Great snake!

Very nice. Good luck with the breeding project! I love his pattern, especially the "Mickey Mouse" ears in the middle of his back.

Congrats on the new acquisition guys! I think Sables are an underrated morph for sure. I can't wait to see what some of the designer combos they make look like. I'm hoping they'll do some crazy stuff like we've seen Yellow Bellies do (i.e the Super Striper!).

I can vouch that he looks fantastic in person too! :D

    Thanks,
    Celia

Thanks for all of the comments guys, I was really excited about getting him, but since I am still stuck offshore, I have not had a chance to put my own eyes on him yet.
SPJ - It is one of those morphs that is hard to describe, and best if you see one in person, to compare to a normal. Hopefully when I get home, I can get some pictures that capture the snake a liitle better.
Chris - I am not sure about what I'll breed to first. He is only 70 grams right now, so I doubt he will make it this season. I haven't even begun to think about breeding season for 07/08.

Tim, he's a handsome little bugger! I'm assuming from Celia's post - you acquired him from EBN?

    No Robin,
I actually traded for him from Matt and Kim at N.A.R.C., but my wife is not good at sexing snakes, so she brought him over to Sean to have him verified as a male. Celia saw him while Monica was over there getting him sexed. Thanks for the compliments on the little guy, I am really excited about this project.
