    Black Throat
I took a few random shots of our heaviest monitor in the house. He averages around 30 to 35 lbs. A big puupy dog of a monitor.

He seems to be a ladies man, and normally will not puff up at me. But tends to towards Win and our volunteer Mike. Otherwise he is just a love.
    Thanks

WOW!! He is nice looking. How about a feeding video. How long is he? He must have a hide cage and tons of dirt to burrow in!!!

He is a big guy at an average of 5 feet long.
Yes his cage is mighty big. The wooden area you see him on top of is actually his hide, he has many o' burrows!

I held Moggie up to the screen and told her if she ate ALL her crickets, she would get that big one day. She wasn't impressed.
    But then, she's a lizard.
I LOVE the picture. I wish you could get a picture of him with something for size comparison in with him. He weighs more than all FIVE of my yorkies.

Yorkies don't really hold any nutritional value.
    It's pooodles he likes.

PS I have some shots with him and a bic pen for comparison. I'll have to find it.

Being a groomer and a owner breeder of yorkshire terriers, MY yorkies would be quite nutritional. I don't take it personal, and I have a poodle too. LOL.
In fact my yorkie named Monkey is my reptile tracking terrier. She locates any reptile within minutes of it escaping and directs me to it by barking a LOT, until the dumb human comes out to capture and put it where it belongs. So far it is is 2 baby ball pythons, and a moniter. Monkey is great at it.

Well, I'm sure your yorkies are nicer than most. Most people don't think it's necessary to train their dogs anymore..

I love poodles BTW.. You should post some pics of your doggies in the other pets thread!

    Mice
    Roaches
    Crickets
    worms (variety)

Remember we feed our monitors out of ceremic dog dishes. He gets a mix every other day.

Do you feed him whole rabbits??? He is really impressive and I bet those claws would do some real damage if you were wrestling with him!

He can take in small rat sized rabbits. Normally we cut them up for his dish, otherwise monitors will make a huge mess. He could probably wrestle with a whole one and eat it in peices, but I am not going to be the one to clean that up...lol So we slice it for him.
