    A taxidermist's nightmare.
Well...My second attempt at taxidermy, I'm definetly improving, but still horrible at it!

And while I'm at it, how 'bout a Beardied-Burrito?

i cant believe no one has commented on the burrito

that is the cutest thing EVER OMG ! He reminds me SO MUCH of my cousin's chihuahua chico, he lays in her bed like that, arms up head on a pillow and blanket to his for-legs..

taxidermy is sweet- esp when you get albino or white or piebald or skewbald or tobiano or black deer to do... (pie- tri color, skew-brown/white, tobiano-black/white or atleast that's how i think)

    What a cute burrito!

And taxidermy is indeed an art! Have you seen some of those amazing old Victorian pieces? Whole elaborate Alice in Wonderland scenes that were as beautiful as they were... well, disturbing, lol! I've even seen a movie called "Alice" where the white rabbit was a Victorian piece that came to life, and kept losing his stuffing... all stop motion animation. Weird but intriging stuff!

Would this be considered "taxidermy?" Truly bizarre exhibit they had at Daytona:

There was a cool yet morbid display on a table at Daytona. I can't remember which table it was at, but it was mice and rats skeletons all dressed up in wicked looking garb (including other rodent skins), fighting hand-to-hand with swords and the like. I thought it was pretty amusing, but the wife didn't really care for it...:puke:

I thought taxidermy was when the whole animal was stuffed and made to look as it was when it was alive?

Yeah, I figured that was the case with taxidermy. But those pics seemed approrpiate for this thread, and I figured anyone interested in taxidermy would find them fun, at least. Glad you liked it!

I didn't talk to the vendor at that table, so I have no idea what process was used to preserve those....remains? It looked wayyyy too detailed to have been faked, though. LOL Mega creepy!

it is, except for the whole animal part, the organs, meat, brain, and the bones are removed(cept for the small digits and tail bones). the skull can be removed or not.

I have no clue about the vendor, except that you can see a guy's vendor tag in the background of the top picture. I googled his name and didn't find anything useful. Maybe someone else that was at Daytona, though, might know more.
