Ack Emily! I watched Fear Factor last night...they were snarfing down on those huge hissing cockroaches! That odd thing (must come from being around some of your oddballs LOL) is I started to feel sorry for the poor live bugs getting eaten! Geesh! Pretty bad when you see a bug get eaten and think..."hey that could have been somebody's pet you know!"
Oh and I'm hoping Mike doesn't see this thread. The man is enough of a carnivore without screwing up my cake baking skills with meat based cakes!

see i always feel bad too when they eat the hissing roaches. they do make nice pets! my sister bred them for years as food for her beardie (i know--the beardie can eat them and it's ok but it's not ok if it's people eating them--get over it--that's just how it is :P). but yeah the adults were so calm and nice--i could never eat one--not because of the gross factor but because of the feeling sad for it factor.
