good: beautiful snakes, relatively easy to care for when new to snakes, from what i hear, most have good tempers and eat pretty well, they stay within a manageable size
cons: don't get big enough to eat my aggravating neighbor

Re: Its all You!!!
Well, I just got mine today but, I love all the color patterns (morphs) available. I aslo like that they are a large bodied snake that doesn't get too big.
Least favorite things would be the feeding problems associated with them, but then again. I love a challenge! and they keep you on your toes (not a boring snake at all)

Re: Its all You!!!
My favorite thing is that of all the snakes, Ball Pythons have a face thats hard to ignore!! LOL
My least favorite thing is... NOTHING!!! Perfect snake to me.

Re: Its all You!!!
make sure they know everything they need to know before the buy anything and they know how it won't be something that they can just leave there and see it once a week to feed

Re: Its all You!!!
DOnt worry bout that. My friends arent irresponsible as they would seem, i mean sure we drink a little, LOL, but that isnt often and I ve been burring into their heads to handle them with care and consideration or ill beat them up!! lol (i m the biggest and strongest of all, even once they all ganged up on me, not jokingly either, and i broke Joe's leg and Brandon's arm!! LOL we were friends the week after again) but my friends wouldnt mess around like that!

Re: Its all You!!!
pros: realitivly easy to care for, usualy calm, manny beautifull morphs.manny posible crosses, always something new to look foward to
cons:picky eaters(exspeacialy for me cause live rats are illeagal here),shy and become stressed verry easly.those hot morphs cost big$$$$$$$$$$

Re: Its all You!!!
Favorite things: Very easy pet (provided that you're not using a tank.. ;)), manageable length, relatively thick-bodied and easy to hold.
Least favorite thing: Sometimes finicky eaters, and as mike9452 said, morphs are insanely expensive.

Re: Its all You!!!
Favorite things: look great, variation in the 'normals' is endless, smaller-sized python, addictive
con: hearing that 'thump' when they fall off of a branch (not the best climbers in the python world)
-
Re: Its all You!!!
Advantages: Beautimous, easy to care for after you get their needs situated, wonderful eaters(for me anyway), not too big that they need their own travel trailer, but big enough to have some oomfph.
Disadvantages: Set up 'can' cost an arm and a leg if done properly($240 on one thermostat alone, not to mention $60-$70 on other t-stats for quarantine place), there are too many pretty morphs that I can't have so phooey. ;)

Re: Its all You!!!
The Good: Awesome temperment, cute faces, awesome morphs, great for x breeding with other pythons, some what hardy, if you cant have dogs or cats, they wont make you sneeze thike they do. some can cost very little if you get them from a good breeder.
The Bad: Some can be real snot nosed brats as babies, make you worry your self sick due to there "fasting", can be very picky about there meals (live, frozen and even color) will not sit still when you want them to and wont move when you need them to, morphs I like are way to much $$$!! and last but not least they can and will get out of there cage if the top is loose , then make you look like a fool when people come over and see lines of flower across every door way and you ask them to please watch there feet.

Re: Its all You!!!
takkun this was probabbly overlooked b/c its so obvious. why not tell ur friends to visit this site??
pros: so beautiful, docile, cute as hell, hypoallergenic, make great pets if cared for properly, and are like potato chips(once u have one u just cant stop).
cons: most people dont know how to care for them properly, such great escape artists that they make hudini look like a birthday magician.
-
Re: Its all You!!!
Pros: Beautiful, usually nice tempered, some in gorgeous morphs even if I can't afford any, big and sturdy but not huge at maturity, have the sweetest looking face in the whole snake world
Cons: Too available in pet stores so people tend to buy them on a whim, get stressed with too much handling, are addictive so you can't have just one LOL

I have told them to visit this site and i gave the adress to this thread, I dont know why they wont just join????? But if they end up not getting a ball python I can see how this forum would be useless.

Re: Its all You!!!
Btw, you also might want to mention that on average a CB ball will probably live over 20 years. The oldest bp on record was 48.
That's either a pro or a con, depending on the way you look at it.
The people I know that don't like balls (who still like snakes) complain that balls are "boring". They're not super active snakes, and they don't get big. One of the reasons I love my gopher snakes, is that they're more active in the daytime, and they seem to be more "curious" about what's going on. (Not to mention I have one baby gopher that "rattles" all the time, he's still in that "everything is trying to eat me" phase.)
