Oh my I nearly inhaled my lovely after dinner coffee laughing at you crazy Brits! I'm originally from Canada http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2.../MapleLeaf.gif. It's really easy to blend in with the Americans though:
talk loudly (if you talk really loud apparently anyone from anywhere can automatically understand english????)
discuss politics endlessly but then don't actually vote
consider Canada just another US state (that's okay...we quietly enjoy our fresh water and free medical care...you can have that fantasy if you like LOL)
eat something white and lumpy that is apparently some sort of freaky gravy (don't they know gravy is brown and served with meat and two veg?)
produce some of the world's top Ball Pythons (okay we all have to give them that)
You guys area a bunch of hosers on a pogey *just kidding*, this thread is way to funny for me! lol

LMAO I wonder if anyone knows what you just said other than me and a few others! (and I'm a girl...you can have my share of them puck bunnies! LOL) Lordy I miss ketchup chips! It's hard to even find decent salt n vinegar ones here! Crazy Americans they don't even know what poutine is or how awful yet effective Buckley's Mixture is.
Check this out...hilarious! (and also a link for poutine for the uneducated ;) )

Yeah..well I can have a Puck bunny and you can have a hockey player!
Sidney Crosby is a cutie petudie. ;)
I guess that would make you puck bunny! hehehehehe!
Yeah I have a Acadian dude who works next to me and he had no idea America didn't have Ketchup chips and Salt and Vinagar ones. hehehehe...
You should come up sometime to the Maritimes around New Brunswick! I might treat you to a nice acadian style poutine rapé. Yummy! or Lobster!
Stop by! I'll be here!

Nor did this crazy UKer ... curry sauce as a dip for chips (or fries) is quite popular over here. Thanks for the education, Jo :D

And here's a fun linky for the Brits and fans of the original 'The Office' series.

Not Holland-ish at all. All the miners and factory workers in and around the Bolton area wore clogs when I was a young 'un. Hand shaped, wooden soles, leather uppers and a metal 'sparker' on the sole of some to extend the life of the sole. Miners had rubber on theirs to prevent sparking.
I was born in 1945, so my memories go a little further back than most!
