    Hehe, you should see some other morphs and their prices. Like Bumblebees for 9 GRAND!!!!!!

    I think the most affordable way to make a morph is to breed two hets. A pair of piebald hets costs 1000 dollars, but at least its not 3K

    Peter Kahl, the breeder who proved out piebaldism in bp's usually sells his from 5000-6000 (bp.netter 'aaajohnson', Neil, got his pied female "Spirit" from Pete - and she's GORGEOUS!). Corey Woods hatched a few piebalds this year but I don't see any up on his available page...

    100% Het or heterogenous means that the animal is carring one half of the gene it takes to produce the morph. Then there is 50% and 66% that is the percent that they might be het. still with me. So here the odd's. 100% het + 100% het = say four eggs the offspring would turn out like this. 1 pied or 25 % and 2 hets and 1 normal. Now the 2 hets and the 1 normal. Thats where the 66% comes in. two of those snakes will have a 66% het chance. Then there's resesive, Dominate and co-dominate but that gets even worse to understand. for a good idea check out the www.geneticswizard.com

    Hope that helps.

    Strange, here in Europe prices are beginning from 3500€, hets couple 2000€.

    Hets:
    Every gene is a key for some characteristic, you need two of these keys to open the box :P

    a = piebald gene
    A = wildcolor animal

    aa=piebald
    AA= wildcolour
    Aa= wildcolour heterozygote piebald (het.)
    A het. animal has one key allready but the wildcolour gene is dominant over the piebal gene.

    If you buy a couple het animals they are Aa.
    If you compare Aa x Aa it give you 1 chance on 4 eggs is a piebald.
    The genes A and a will compare with each other:
    A a x A a gives:
    AA 25%
    Aa 50%
    aa 25%

    I met Pete today and his pied's run between 3,000 and 6,000. The less you pay the less white it will have. I'm in love with pied's I'll probably have one in two to three year's I took the long route with a hetpied male.

    That's the black eyed leucistic. When there are only a handful of a certain morph existing... they tend to get a little pricey!

    All I want is a pastel, or maybe a lemon pastel. I love them so much!

    you cant sex them by their spurs, you have to get it popped or probed by someone experienced.
