    Ghost stories...
Tonight seems just right for some ghost stories.. anyone have any real-life ones? :)
There's this barn on the same property as our house; I swear it is haunted by something. Turns out, a farmer had died in the barn (actually in one of its silos) back in the '80s due to methane fumes.
Got any creeeepy good ones? :bolt:

    I do!
When I was 16, my family moved into a place. The back bedroom was supposed to be for my two younger sisters, but they refused to sleep in it, period. They either slept with me or on the floor in my room, haha. We moved a lot, and they had never had a problem sleeping in their own rooms before or since.

Found out a couple of months after moving in that a teenager had hung himself in that room.
    True story.

I used to have a ghost that just when i would fall into a deep sleep at night, he/she or they would decide to jump on my bed really really hard and wake me up, I thought i was my sister, I looked everywhere and no one was to be found and my dog was scared out of her wits. I also had my computer in the garage, and one day i was going out to use it and I heard childrens laughter adn what sounded like bouncing noises come from my nanny's bed, I at once told them to shut up and stop it and the noises where gone. I have tons of other personal encounters but I will not go any further as of right now.

Wow, awesome ones there. Sarah, it seems like kids and animals have the highest sensitivity to these things; they must have felt the negative energy.
Alex, that is creepy! reminds me of a time my Mom was on the computer and I was in the doorway just finishing talking to her; we both saw out of the corners of our eyes, this shape, like a small kid or a dog, rush past between us in the doorway and then it was gone..

my dad was telling me (he's a carpenter) back when he was a young man, about 21, he was working on a roof in the oakland hills. anyone whose seen the oakland hills knows that its very green, steep and dense. very easy to get lost (that has nothing to do with the story, just thought id add that, lol). anyways, he was working on the roof and he heard, "this is where the fire was". he thought to himself, "what? what fire?", and he heard, "the fire where we died." he's working on the roof and as he's pulling of shingles he sees this fire damage!! he was really freaked out.

see, it was just in his mind but he heard something. then, when he was working his way around the back of the house and he heard, "careful, dont fall. it's really high on the other side." and again he thought to himself, "what?!?!" and the person said again, "its really high back there." by this time my dad is freaking out and doesnt know what to make of the situation.

he makes it to the back of the house and he's looking over tree tops. he was freeked out! the house was built on the side of a hill on the incline and thats why it was so steep on one side. so he got done with his job and got outta there.

no joke. true story. to make it even better he told us that one on the way back from San Francisco while we were driving through the Oakland hills.

i have 2 other ones. one that my mom told and another that my dad told but there not as freaky as that one.

yeah, he said he wasnt too worried, just freaked out. its like the "ghost" was telling him to be careful and informing him there was a fire back there.

I was spending the night at my best friends house in Florida. I believe it was approximately 1973-74 around 10pm, when we heard a loud crash. We ran outside to find a pickup truck wrapped around a tree in the front yard. The man inside was still alive when the paramedics arrived and they wisked him off to the hospital. That night right around mid-night my friend was looking out his front window when he said, "What is that guy doing walking around and looking at our tree"? We were about to call the police when he said that the guy looked very familiar. I too thought he looked familiar. It was the guy that was in the truck wreck. He stood around for about 5 minutes then just dissapeared. We found out later the next day that he died at 3 minutes after midnight that morning. It still lingers in my mind to this day. I am one that does not normally believe anything until I see it for myself....Well.......I guess you can say I believe in ghost's.

    I have one other story but I dont dare tell it.....My family still wants to know what I was on when I saw it....lol I made the mistake telling my kids about it and they are still laughing at me to this day....:-}

When my great-grandmother migrated to Utah w/the pioneers, she was in a wagon accident as a child. The wagon rolled over her and killed her. The Dr. in the party examined her, declared her dead when they finally got her out from underneath.

Her father said it wasn't her time to die during a blessing and she revived. I swear it... our family still has the two death certificates.

Just minutes, but she had died. Her dad told her she'd be healthy and live a full life.....she was and she did. My grandmother was one of her seven children.

One night I suddenly woke up and saw someone in the living room, heading towards the front door. I thought it was my 20 yr old step daughter, but she wasn't even here and no way could she be here because she doesn't have a key to get in.

At the same time I watched this person move through the living room our small dog sat up and looked directly at it and start growling.

Reason I thought it was my step daughter was because it was a female build and about the same height and shape etc. Plus she was at a friends house that night.

I have also dug clothes belonging to a girl in our basement, one side is concrete floor and the other side is dirt. Some of the dirt had over flowed into the concrete area. Kinda odd to have clothes buried in the dirt if you ask me. I also have dug up a student ID from a number of years ago for a young girl. It's the only creepy thing I have witnessed in the house in 18 months of living here. I have no idea on what went on in the house before we moved in. I'm not sure I want to know!

Well I have a few incidences that are quite weird.

Its all relating my grandfather, I personally didn't know him well since he was in south america but my older sister was closer with him. In 98' I think he committed suicide in his house. Since then my sister always says she feels him around from time to time, especially when she's alone in her house taking a shower or something, she'll usually hear the door knob jingling.

But the freakier part of it all must have been when my sister took my twin niece and nephew to Uruguay in South America on vacation. They stayed at my grandfathers house in which his suicide took place. My nephew was talking in his sleep and my sister overheard him saying "mommy tell that man to let me sleep, to stop bothering me." That next morning my niece asked my sister what "suicidarce" means...which in spanish means suicide...they were young at this time about 4 or 5 and they she had no reason to know that word.

Well now that I'm all freaked out and alone in my basement I hope you all enjoyed my little freaky string of events.

Couple years back mom and I were the only ones home for a couple days, and we heard someone coughing violently in the bathroom. The fan and the light were on, too. I had turned both off when I had gotten out of the bathroom about .. ten, fifteen minutes before. I made mom go in and check, but there wasn't anything there and the coughing had stopped.

Also, we have a large mirror at the top of our stairs. When I was around seven or eight, my uncle had one of his friends over, and they were standing in front of the mirror talking to my grandma. Well, the friend looked into it and saw this black hooded figure. He turned around and nothing was there, looked back in the mirror and it was there. He peed himself right there and refused to come back over.
