Introducing myself and my pets
Hey guys im new, i just figured id introduce myself and my pets. 21 year old from san luis obispo california. I currently own a 3.5 foot florida kingsnake (female) and a 1.5-2 foot ball python (unsexed). Im hoping to mate them, they've been in the same cage for a week now and things are looking great... jk jk. I'm also going to be the proud owner of a baby dumeril boa soon. Hopefully you all can teach me more ways to keep my little pets happy and comfortable for their entire lives. Nice meeting you all in advance!http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2.../penelope1.jpg http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2...0/kingkeke.jpg

They don't get that big. Males only average 3.5-4 feet and females going from 4-5 feet.

Re: Introducing myself and my pets
im really looking forward to the dumerils, ive never had a boa before and i pretty much just look forward to any new reptile i get. Right now im looking into getting a monitor lizard, its either a monitor or a bearded dragon... i've been weighing the pros and cons of each, for example getting my hand bitten off by the monitor lizard vs being able to hold the beardy. there is something amazing about watching a monitor own a mouse though something so so so beautiful and powerful about that lizard that drives me to get one.
Re: Introducing myself and my pets
You could try an ackie. They don't get as big as the other monitors, and can't bite your hand off, I think.
