    help!!! Becca fell
And I think she might have brok her jaw. is that posible? shes not balling up or trying to reaign her jaw, just crawling around like normal. Her bottom jaw on the left side swollen a little bit.

Is she okay or is an emergency trip to the vet needed? I'll try to take pics.

    EEK!
Hard to say without any pic's. I'm not sure what a vet would be able to do with a snake with a broken jaw??? But then again I've never had to take my snake to a vet so I'm not up to date with all they can and can not do for them. I'd say if she doesn't :fit" it herself then yes do take her to get checked out!

Also how big of a fall did she have?

My camera is being crappy and not working so I cant show pics. I'm calling the vet now to see if I can get in today. I feel so bad.

She fell I'd say about 4 ft sadly because I was standing up with her and she slid off of me. Its looks aligned and just swollen but I'd rather just pay 40$ just to be sure.

its a reptile vet. She hasn't even tried to realign the jaw, thats what I'm not understanding. If its broken would she have tried it?

I was thinking that. Well I'm taking her to the vet around seven so hopefully it won't be broken *crosses fingers*.

Your best advice came from yourself! ;) Even with pictures, none of us here are vets and don't have the expertise to diagnose a possible serious injury. And even a real vet would probably hesitate to diagnose based soley on Internet pictures. Good luck! I hope everything turns out fine!

Just in case anyone was interested...When I took her back out to go to the vet her jaw was back to normal so the vet said that she must of just knock it out of line then fixed it when we put her back in. So that was a big relief. Theres no swelling or anything so yay.

That's great news. :D The poor little thing must have had quite the shock from the whole ordeal.

I can only imagine. Shes so tiny (12", 50 grams), the smallest of my snakes, so I was so worried about her.

Whew, glad to hear she's okay. =) BPs are not always the most graceful so we're pretty careful when ours is out and about slithering to make sure she doesn't fall, unlike our boa who is very "clingy". =D
