Thanks Freakie_frog yeah hes a great little dude, hes only about 3 months old atm and has a HUGE appetite (which makes life easier lol :) ) and as for the shoes...im kicking them as i speak :D

Welcome to BPNet Steveo, glad you've joined us here! Bob's a very nice looking BP and sure looks like he loves his dinners LOL. Always wonderful to see a newcomer that's happy with is BP and a BP so obviously being well cared for.

Thanks everyone for the great welcome :) , i will be feeding him his first adult small mouse tonight hes roughly about 2" around in girth in the middle so a small adult mouse should be the perfect size for him :)
p.s - frankykeno i see in your sig that you have a Boxer x lab :D , i have a Boxer called Chad

LOL, every time I see someone introduce themselves and their royal ball python, the first thing I do is look to see if they are from the UK! ;)

I actually like them being called royal ball pythons - they are certainly regal enough!

aye mate Royals is the name I am most used to, not that I dont like Balls as it definately characterises them perfectly its just what you are used to isn't it.

Yep we have a crazy, goofy 5 month old boxer/yellow labrador cross (apparently referred to as a "boxador" how nuts is that! LOL). She basically is built like a boxer from the neck down and a lab from the neck up. Here's Gunnar (the 5 year old named her okay) in all her goofy glory.

:) gunnar is a beauty , you can defiantly see the boxer in her and she has the great head of a lab :D
as for bob he ate his first adult mouse last night with no probs at all :D

Ohhhhhhh Chad's a gorgeous male boxer! I may have to print of that shot of his face and give Gunnar her first pin-up LOL. Okay sort of stupid boxer question but are their tails naturally bobbed or are they cut short like that. We adopted Gunnar from the local Dog Warden and she came with a stubby tail but we can't figure out why anyone with a mixed breed litter would have done their tails if they weren't born like that.

Sorry to hijack your thread LOL but another question. Are boxers normally really smart and easy to train? I've read up some on the breed as I've always had Labs and they do seem to have a great rep as a good family dog...smart, protective but gentle (Boxers that is). I just notice that Gunnar is really really fast to pick up new commands. She learned "sit" at 12 weeks of age in one 15 minute training session...she learned heel within 4 blocks of walking using her new training collar. I'm used to Labs that are really bonded to humans and want to please but wow....is it the Boxer blood in her that makes her so quick to learn stuff?

She also constantly boxes with her front paws LOL. She's also a lot braver than any Lab pup I've ever had. If a dog barks at our 5 year old, little Gunnar braces herself and bellows back in her "big" puppy voice. Labs don't tend to be that protective naturally.

Oh and Happy Birthday Chad!

Yeah there tails are "docked" cut off at birth (usally by the breeder ) a boxers tail is long and whippy if left undocked.
Boxers are real smart and very protective they tend to learn commands real quick Chad was paper trained at 9 weeks the breeders sorted that out before we picked him up :sweeet: and he also learnt to sit at around 12/13 weeks old , also Chad will protect my 2 year old nephew everytime he come down to visit. i.e if the fire is lit chad will lay in front of it until my nephew walks off , and hes an excellent guard dog not aggressive wise just loud if he hears anything that isnt right he will let off a loud deep bark and run to wherever the sound is coming from, also boxers love to box with the front paws , they love there play fights :)

Well seems our Gunnar has a lot of Boxer in her because she's picking up commands so fast I'm amazed by it. Other than she hasn't figured out how to tell us she needs to go out yet but we're working on that. I was in PetCo today and saw a couple in there with their little purebred boxer pup...oh so darn cute! I can't figure why the folks that had Gunnar's mother (she was apparently a purebred Boxer) would have bothered to dock the tails of mixed breed puppies but it does sort of suit Gunnar.

yeah i was wondering why they docked gunnars tail too , but as you said it does suit her its so cute when they wag them (looks like they have a little motor hidden away there somewhere lol :) and you are right boxer pups are just too cute :D

Glad to have U...You'll find that the royals are EXTREMELY addictive, and we here tend to enable each other in that addiction.... :D

Oh, and watch out for the Ooooh's and :aww: (Awwww's) of pooing, shedding and when those reluctant feeders actually eat for us. Then there's the happy dance :carrot: :pinkele:

LOL Sheree she is a brat about the bachelor rat cage. That's where my retired huge male rat, Casanova hangs out with the new breeder male, Frankie and Gunnar lives in joy if they will hang their long tails out of the wire cage so she can harrass them. She doesn't nip, just jumps and barks at them, they however will happily nip her if she gets too close. Silly pup...silly rats!

Oh Steveo what cute pups! I can see us getting a purebred Boxer some day, we are very impressed with what we are seeing in this pup we've got. The docked tail is cute. When Gunnar is excited our young son says she doesn't wag her tail...she wiggles her butt (which he finds endlessly funny!) Watching her attempt to chase her tail (she usually spins so tight and fast she falls over) is hilarious! LOL

hi sweety314, i had an adult male royal before that i rescued a few years ago
he was kept in a...get this , 1ft long tank with no hides and a exposed 60 watt light bulb :O, he was covered in burns all down his back and tail :( he was in a dreadful state he looked like a toblerone o_O :( :mad:
It took about a year but he got passed his ordeal and went on to be a greedy eating machine :carrot::pinkele::banana: his scars healed up well but were still very visable , i regrettably had to sell ron along with all my other snakes 4 years ago as i went travelling for 3 months to Australia and had no one that would take care of them :mad: :( , but ron and the others went to a very good and highly experienced owner :)
