These two just came in this morning from The Urban Python. They are around 3' long...maybe a bit more. Quick little snakes too ....let me know what you think ;)
Re: My new CCPs ;) (pics inside)
I think you're a ragin' cajun with good taste in snakes :gj:
I think the carpet python is the new retic/burm :D
Re: My new CCPs ;) (pics inside)
Very cool! I'm surprised to see him use the hide, though. I thought they were primarily arboreal when they're young?
Re: My new CCPs ;) (pics inside)
Daniel Congrats glad to see you got them in. Those are the one from Canada right? Godd look critter. I love the color on those guys
Re: My new CCPs ;) (pics inside)
Indeed have to chime in - very JCP colors on those CCPs!!
How kissy are they? Ours are still pretty twitchy (the one traded for rats is fairly mellow though - no worries handling there). At any rate enjoy them! Awesome snakes!

These 'normal' CCPs look nothing like normals IMO. The female was produced from a hypo jaguar to normal breeding and the male was produced from a hypo jaguar to jaguar sibling. Jaguar siblings what have completely different look than regular coastals....that is one of the reasons that I got these two. Here is dad: http://www.theurbanpython.com/mainpages/jagmale.html
As far as being kissy......not at all so far. The female looked like she might get an attitude with me, but the male was too busy investigating. I am sure they will be just fine ;)

Very nice Daniel. Congrats. :sweeet:
Re: My new CCPs ;) (pics inside)
Oh they are sweet Daniel! I love how you did those wooden dowels. Where did you find tubs with the slots like that where you fit the dowelling into? I'm thinking our young BCI would love something like that as he enjoys a bit of a climb here and there but I've never seen tubs like that.

Thanks Jo.
I can't remember the model # of these sterilites....I bought them at Target.....I will take a look when I get home though ;)
Re: My new CCPs ;) (pics inside)
very nice... do you know what their price was on the true jags? $3k is the cheapest i've found.

I have seen some cheaper here and there....but with carpet pythons you always have to be careful with the source since some people have no problem throwing together subspecies and selling them a 'pure bred'. Jaguars by themselves(not hypo jags) are getting lower in price due to the fact that a few more mcdowelli morphs are starting to hit the scene and jags were one of the first ;)
Re: My new CCPs ;) (pics inside)
WOW! What great looking snakes!
Re: My new CCPs ;) (pics inside)
yeah... there's lots of idiots out there trying to rip people off.
the sure factor though is to get pics of the parents... only pure coastals can get 10' long with a head the size of your fist!
Re: My new CCPs ;) (pics inside)
WOW they are beautiful...i love the markings and looked at the dad he took my breath away :rolleye2:
Re: My new CCPs ;) (pics inside)

JCPs are neat but I was drawn to these coastal carpets for some reason.....maybe because they are just a bit larger ;) Morelia pythons are all really cool snakes and I am liking what I am seeing so far.....both ate tonight without hesitation :D
