    Kenyan Sand Boa
I just ran across one of these little adult guys at my local reptile store. ADORABLE!

    Who all here has one?
Are there any good care sheets out for them?

I have two.. and a roughscaled sand boa.

Can't find a more docile and laid back snake.. awesome little buggers! Just make sure it's feeding well before you buy it.

After seeing April's we got an anery. The first feeding was sort of tense, because she almost didn't take the FT but she's been gobbling and growing ever since.

VERY escape capable!!! (as Aleesha can attest to), and Oreo's escaped twice out of her 10g tank with us. She loooooooves to hang out on the rim/lip of the tank, just under the lid, or along side the glass and YES!! she DOES climb, A LOT!!!! We had to put a total of four clips, two down each long side of the lid to snap it down enough. So far, so good.....no more escapes.

She's only tried to bite us twice since we got her in March, but she's soooooo tiny, that you can barely feel it. But it's funny because she thinks she's such a big snake, and Robin dubbed her "earf worm". Now that she's growing, :D :D we may need to come up with a new nickname/endearment for her. :)

    Really fun little snake.

We got Oreo when we went to the herp show in Eugene in March. The breeder/vendor table was "Snakes of Ra", a local.

Maybe you'll be able to find a local breeder doing a google, or on Kingsnake.com.

All of my sand boas came from Jason Hess at Jason's Jungle. I'm not sure if he's got any available right now, but shoot him an e-mail!

definitely they do i was there last month just seeing what they had, and at least two stands had KSB's...one additional stand had an anery. i talked to another guy that didn't have them last time, but he said his female was about to pop and that at this show he should have both regular and anery..i didn't see any albinos though

Thanks for the link. A buddy of mine was saying he was going to that show. Have you ever been there before? Any good? I was actually waiting for the M.A.R.S Reptile show in Sept.

I was at the Maryland one last month when they had it in July it wasn't over the top, but it was enjoyable. I'm sure the MARS show will be a lot more worth your while, esp. if you're looking for an albino KSB. I wish I could be at that one as well, but unfortunately I'll be up in NY at school.

Yeah you're right. I'm going to hold off till the MARS show. Hopefully someone there will have albino KSB's. Thats a bummer, couldn't you make a weekend trip back down to MD for it?

    Re: Kenyan Sand Boa
The albino offered at the table where I bought Oreo was over $125. Maybe w/a bigger show, you'll get better prices. My biggest concern was spending over my budget for something so small, that might have problems eating. The breeder was feeding live, and didn't know if O. would take FT. She didn't for the first feeding, but she's been gobbling them ever since. :)

    Oreo's an anery.

Good luck in finding one. They're cool little snakes. I'm glad we got her.
