I'll be there around noon. Is everyone still planning on going for lunch together? I'm not too familiar with the Arlington area, I have no idea what all is around there.

For as much as I'd love to take my snakes with me places, I don't think I ever would (with the exception of the vet). I would think it'd be really stressful and especially at a show or pet shop, you'd never know what kind of crap/bugs they might pick up...but I guess that's me. =)

Spoon has been used for educational demonstrations for years, he never gets stressed and actually seems to enjoy human contact. He likes to explore and check things out. He's the only one in our collection that is perfectly content being out with us for an hour at a time.

I will be there! Getting that female Ball from Chris and who knows what I may come back home with... *expects a beating from the mother with her return*, heh. And yep, I am all up for lunch. There are a few good places right in that general area, so we should have something to choose from.

Kara, what part of Texas are you from? I was originally from Mineral Wells, then moved to Longview and now am in Waco. It's a nice state(except for most parts of Houston, eeww) and I don't think I will ever move(maybe travel, but never move).

Ok, I'll just plan on showing up, and we can go from there.

Becky, this might sound kind of odd but do you happen to have any male rats you could sell me? My stud is NOT doing his job and I have nowhere around here to get a new male from (I think the PetCo ones have something wrong with them as that's where he came from). We have to drive back down through Waco on our way home from the show, I thought perhaps we could follow you back.

I agree! I always quarantine all new additions for a minimum of sixty days, so there's no WAY that I would expose any of mine to hundreds of animals, who knows what's floating in the air that could be transmittable! While I'm sure that the bulk of the animals are healthy, I'd still concerned - just an avoidable risk to my established collection.

D/FW area. I grew up in Frisco before it was all asphalt & shopping malls...back when we could still ride our horses up to the drive-thru @ the Golden Fried Chicken & get a Coke on a hot summer day. :)

Spent a few years in Denton (Go Eagles!), then worked in Dallas for several years prior to moving to New England.

I'd move back in a heartbeat, somewhere in the hill country though. ;)

Jen, sure you can follow me back. We could always meet at a designated place at the Outlet Mall in Hillsboro to make it easy(will send you a PM). My Petco has fairly healthy and big male rats(seems all they have is big males). I would quarantine though as you never know what they may be carrying(SDA, Sendai, parasites, etc...). A month would be good if you can just to be sure. I wouldn't want your entire rat colony to die off because of one infected rat. I'll be bringing back an American Blue harley coated male(4.5 weeks old) from my friend that breeds rats(show quality), so I have to be careful(PARV-O-WAY is your friend).

If anyone is interested, I will be wearing a red shirt that says Rattlesnake Inn :) Yay for Point Blank, Texas, heh.

Kara, I LOVE riding through drive-thru's on horseback. We've done that at Dairy Queen a few times and they look at you funny. I guess as long as you aren't walking or on a bicycle, it's fine, LoL. You should move to Mart, there is some wonderful hill country there. Just huge rolling pastures full of cattle or horses and NO NEIGHBORS.
