Snakes Delayed

The Ft. Myer plane had some problems last night and instead of ending in Madison today where tony and i were going to pick up the babies, they're still in memphis.
Kathy Love said that right now its very hot in that area and they're having to search through packages to get the babies into an air-conditioned room. She'll be keeping us updated, but Im biting my nails for the babies' safety (all of them, not just my two especially).
We were just about to leave and make a 3.5 hour drive when tony wanted to look it up and make sure we were all squared away. That's when i got the email.
Oh I want those babies to be okay... hnnnnnnnn

If they arrive safely, you'll definatly know, I'll have pictures to boot. I'm just wanting them to find all the babies asap.

I'm in Memphis, and yes, it's ungodly HOT here. :bleh: I sure hope your little guys make it to you safely.

They're in Madison Al, today- but since i got yesterday off, i cant leave here until 4- though i plan on asking if i can leave atleast an hour or two earlier
its a 3.5 hour drive, so about 7 or 8 tonight i'll know.
my stomach was doing flips this morning at 6 when the last update was that it had left memphis at 3pm- i was like, WTH ARE MY BABIES
then at 7:29 they arrived in Madison.
Its nail biting and i've been doing a bit of everything not to think about it

Did you ever receive them? If so how are they.

We went, and took a wrong turn- missing it by an hour
So we left yesterday. We left early and about 45 minutes within Fedex, we came across a massive wreck and waited for an hour. Then we left, bought a map at a gas station and tried to drive around it. The road led us back to the wreck where a State Trooper told us it was going to be another four hours before you could get through.
After talking to Kathy Love we've pretty much decided the babies are dead, and had then even likely survived Memphis (she said most died) they would be now. We're in the process of getting someone at FedEx to try and ship it to Montgomery (45 minute drive away) to retrieve the box.

This is the second time I've had something bad go wrong in the process of trying to have a corn snake (in 04 i had a male amel and he escaped?? somehow and though i set out many little 'food traps' and searched ruthlessly i have yet to find any evidence of him).

So, I'm really bumbed and burnt out at the moment.
Not to mention, once bitten twice shy- I'm now doubly anxious about having my pastel being shipped...

I am sure they will work something out.I have never had the pleasure of buying anything from the Loves yet.Although i have spoken to her in emails and on the phone over the last couple years.She is a great person to talk to and never refuses to answer any question anyone might have.

She's offered to replace them both with snakes or dry goods. I'm talking with my boyfriend about it. If we do, she's going to a Houston show early september and will pass through lower alabama and i could meet her there and get them. That or ship again, and we all know how i feel about that option atm.
I just want to get that package out of Madison and take care of it asap. I'm not to worried about other babies atm.
