Wow, you did an amazing job. Big props for standing up and saving that snake!!! You don't see that kind of dedication much, especially when the animal is as far gone as yours was.

BTW, he is just simply beautiful! Great blushing and light head.
Thanks for keeping us all updated!

now that is a sweet sight to see.

congrats polak - I honestly feared your little one was too far gone.

Sorry it took me so long to notice this - I blew up my computer again ( I seem to have a knack for it).

Quick question after congratulations for the excellent recovery you've facilitated for that snake:
How far does the scarring extend up his neck?
As you probably know, scar tissue is not very elastic, so as he/she grows, I'd be very careful with the size of prey item I gave that snake... too large could tear her open even though it might be an "appropriate" sized rat, etc.

I'd also suggest not breeding this snake (if female) for the same reason. She might be able to balloon out while the eggs are inside her, but if the scarring around her vent is as bad as what I see in the pictures, then laying could tear her cloaca and you'd be in real trouble.

Great job again on saving that snake!
