Mine is art. I hate to admit it, but i have little time to paint/draw now, with working fulltime, the horses (AKA kids), Mark and the business, etc. But here's a pic of my little "studio" (actually half of the laundry room.) I really wish this was my career; maybe someday....

Mine is art too :) Nice work! I work in a sign shop doing mostly vinyl, but I get to carve and paint things too. In fact, tomorrow I get to letter and pinstripe an old metal pedal car :D I don't do as much as I should in my spare time, but oh well. I'm glad I found a place in the art world where I fit in, web/graphic design would have driven me crazy and I have no interest in being a fine artist, lol.

Writing would be my thing, I guess. (As if y'all couldn't tell by the book-length posts I make? LOL) I even finished a novel and found a successful agent to represent me...but so far, no publishers have been interested in actually publishing it. :(

Maybe someday I'll write another...but the events around the first one have kind of taken all the wind out of the novel sails.

Before my son was born, I probably would have said that my talent was "crafting my career", but 5 years ago everything changed ... now, I'd like to think that my "talent" is being a dad ... some of it comes natural, some of it takes a little work ... and I LOVE every single second of all of it.

LMAO! ... Leave it, it's cool ... I'm proud to be my sons dad ... anyone that thinks that they know me (or anyone for that matter) from what I post on here has no clue! ... People are soooo much more than words on a computer screen ... the internet is nice/fun/whatever, but it's not real. ;) :sweeet:

ah, i disagree adam. i think you can be real on the internet... it's just that often times... people don't really open themselves up completely ;)

hopefully my talent is writing and publishing my magazine as well as teaching since those are definitely my passions!

my other 'talent' would be the readings i do (psychic readings) - very cool the stuff i am able to channel...

:D i'm sure there's more... as let's face it folks... we have many talents which show themselves at different times in our lives. i hope you will all find yours throughout your life.

I'm as open as this little text box allows me to be ... with me, what you see is what you get ... but I promise you, I don't "translate" well ... I built my first website for the Marine Corps in 1992 (the original www.usmc.mil site actually) and in the last 14 years I've gotten to know many people via "the net" ... and I think every single one that has met me in person has told me that I am 100% not what they expected.

The internet is great ... but it is a poor substitue for good ole fashioned getting to know someone in real life. ;)

Those are lovely, Jen! I especially like the one in the upper righthand corner. Nice rich dark colors!

My hobbies are art and writing, I've posted some of my art here before (if you haven't seen it and are curious, check out the link in my sig) and I'm theoretically working on a novel. A very very slowgoing historical/fantasy novel I have a love/hate relationship with. I hate to think of that as a hobby though...

So I guess my hobby hobby is our webcomic Full Circle. Has nothing to do with Blue Gorgon or my novel, but it's our baby that we have fun writing on all the time. Sadly the comic is nowhere near caught up with the actual stories we've written. We have a 4 door file cabinet full of stories! Slowly but surely we'll catch up one day though. :)

Sadly, many of my hobbies have fallen by the wayside. I used to draw---with pencil mostly---play guitar, and sing a bit. I don't have much time to do those things anymore. I love to write, and am able to keep up with it a bit because it's what I'm majoring in ;) I'm compliling a group of short fictional stories on how military life affects men, women, and their families, and have also written a 259 page fictional novel on a woman in the Navy. I've also gotten into website building and photography a bit because of the herps. Of course, I've always been into critters... they're keep me going day to day, after I'm done with class or one job or the other.

Drawing and writing. Though, dont base how I write on what you read here- lol- this is the 'break' from perfect grammar sometimes. I enjoy crochetting, sewing, and sculpting as well; ask me about my scarves and horse figures- none of them are done, I jump from project to project.

I groom pets professionally. I have bred bettas, although time constraints right now mean I can't currantly. I have bred several species of seahorse. Keep stonefish and toadfish in additional to numerous freshwater species. I commercial fished for the first 20+ years of my life, both trap and net. I do medieval re-enactment, and can sew(somewhat), knit(somewhat), shoot archery, armor up and fight, carve horn(although I am not very good at bone yet), and serve the king's table. I also like guns and shoot very well, hunt when I get time to be able to do so(haven't in the last 3 years), and am darned handy when it comes to building or finangling things into being.
I am a RABID Mythbusters fan, and have met the guys on more than one occasion, and can pretty much answer any trivia about them by now.

Hn. My biggest hobby used to be online textual role-playing. Now, when I have the time, I just write poetry/short stories. I LOVE rifle-shooting. (By the way, there's a gun expo in Dulles this weekend)! Um. I'm a mommy of three beautiful ball pythons. ^_^ I also enjoy playing Scrabble at night with my mom. It helps me wind down. I used to go horse-back riding every day when I was living in Texas. My other big hobby while living in Texas was herping. I had almost six acres of land to go exploring on, and I picked up EVERYTHING I could get my hands on.

I'm also a huge music nut. I like going to concerts when I have the money and I worship Maynard. ^_^

Erm. My last hobby would be my infatuation with artists. Luis Royo, Jennifer Janesko, Brom, Cleavenger, etc. I plan on having a lot of their art throughout my future house.

I sculpt life like and life sized reptiles, bugs, and spiders, I paint, draw, computer graphics, computer repare, and other computer stuff ;) . I dabble in the SCA and do Tri staff fighting, make Chainmel (sp?) armor and other fun stuff. I bread AQHA Bulldog quarter horses for 10 years. rescued Iguanas and other lizards for 5 years. and the one thing I'm the best at is being lazy on weekends.

One of my talents/hobbies that I recently picked back up after about a 6 year break is juggling. Now I know what you're thinking: big red nose, rainbow wig, and balloon animals, but that can't be further from what I do. I do technical or sport juggling; accomplishing (or at least trying to pull off) difficult moves, usually with 5+ balls/objects. I am not interested in the "art" of juggling or preformance, but the thrill of landing a difficult technical move all by myself in the back yard. I used to juggling about 4-5 hours/day a few years back, now I'm glad when I can get out for about 1 hour/day. All-in-all, it's something that relaxes me, and also something I can see my long-term progress in after much hard work, as well as a good work-out. If you want to see the "big boys" of sport juggling, check out thewjf.com, and yes there is a world championship of sport juggling on ESPN next month. I guess I've never really been mainstream with my intrests.....https://ball-pythons.net/forums/imag...es/biggrin.gif

My favorite prop to juggle is balls (not the ones that eat rodents :D ), but I also like clubs and rings. I've always loved the manipulation of about any kind of object, and I have way too much equipment for my own good. I've seen some bar tending "juggling" before, and some of those tricks are awesome! I wasn't aware they had competitions for it though, but then again, I'm not really surprised either...

This is flawless lawn, goofy clothes and mean strategies. My set resides in a satin bag...if that leads you to a visual...lol!! Almost all the people I can trick into playing have never played or heard of the "sport" but seem to have a fun time as all "skill" levels have fun in this game. Usually ending in laughing, crying and broken toes.

I usually listen to old school street punk on my MP3 player while I juggle, so I really am in my own world, oblivious to my surroundings for an hour or so. I'm far from competition level, maybe down the road....WAY down the road. I mainly do it for excercise and a sense of accomplishment. I wonder if those bar tenders can still pull those moves once they've gotten "into" their work. :carouse:

When I was growing up, I'd say sailing. My family always had a sailboat (the last one being a Catalina 27) that'd we sail on a large lake in Indiana.

When I moved to California, I got into sewing, mostly doing costuming for a couple local community theatres. But I got tired of it, so retired the community theatres.

Since then, my sewing has been mainly quilting. Sorry all my pictures on my computer at home for both theatre and quilting...but yeah, total Betsy Ross thing...

I just recently quit a 5 year addiction to MMORPG's, namely Everquest and Everquest 2. Glad to not feel the urge for them anymore. =P

And recently, Rick and I have gotten into miniature wargaming, specifically Warhammer 40,000 (or WH40k for those in the know). We have a couple of pictures of miniatures here, but I don't know if you need an account to view the pictures.

How cool my Dad had a Cat 27 then got a Cat 30. He just donated it to a program that teaches troubled youths how to sail. He has gotten up in years and it became to much for him, he kept it on the Cheaspeake Bay.

Anyhoo... My talent would be the ability to construct things or take raw land and build something on it, fix things etc. To take a drawing from paper and make it real. I build peoples dreams ( hehehe)

Any tips for quiting? Not for me, for a friend. No really, I don't have time for an addiction other than BPs. But honestly, my buddy has been addicted to some ORPG for years, Diablo, Diablo II, Everquest II, W.O.W. I used to game a lot back in the Diablo days, then I got married. :D Anyhow, congrats on quitting, it's tough.

I am also into shooting; Mark actually built-up my .22 rifle into a bullpup; here are some pics of today; eerie that everyone's mentioning shooting, and that's what I was just doing!
Side note: Shooters; NEVER buy the Remington .22 bullets in the "bulk" box; one tenth of the stupid things are Duds!

It's the same gun in both pics; it's just a Ruger .22 rifle with a "kit" installed to make it look tough (it actually makes it easier to use, too.) It's just semi automatic; nothing illegal.
