    retic x burm hybrid - and hello new member
    hi im new here.

    im from england, stumbled across this site but from having a quick look through i thought i could make myself comfortable. so here i am. I run a store in England.

    thought id share a picture of one of my most exciting projects. see what you think.

    i know America is light years ahead so you'll probably all have one already but they are relatively unheard of in the U.K.

    he is 75% burm 25% retic (100% het albino).

    i saw on n.e.r.d's site that he has a jungle het albino, would be nice to produce visual 50/50's. got to see if my male is fertile first.

    is any one going to the hamm terraristika in germany? its the biggest show we have in europe. i suppose that like saying charles do you fancy going to daytona for the weekend.lol - not sure the budget will stretch to that.

    anyway hello

    Re: retic x burm hybrid - and hello new member
    yeah cockney is right.

    im from yorkshire, originally born in Liverpool.

    i talk with a yorkshire accent.

    hello darling = alreight duck
    yes = aye
    no = nay
    stop it = gi ower
    hold on = nah then
    yours = yon
    have you = has thy

    the traditional yorkshire saying goes something like (lol at spellings, spelling it the way it sounds)

    ear all, see all sa nowt
    eaet all, supp all pa nowt
    an i thy ever wants owt doin fa nowt always do it fa thee sen

    roughly translates

    hear all, see all, say nothing
    eat all, drink all , pay nothing
    and if you ever want anything doing for nothing then always do it for yourself

    Whoaaa Jason, don't you think that's a bit harsh on a thread welcoming a new member here. We don't all agree with everyone all the time but let's not be that way.

    Welcome to BPNet Charles. We have a number of members from the UK actually. I had a giggle at your yorkshire-speak and remember reading the series of vet books featuring James Herroitt when I was a younger. Those were set if memory serves in Yorkshire (I remember the "nowt" word).

    Jason, if you are against hybrids feel free to voice it. But calling an animal that someone cares very much about using the words that you did is harsh and unwarranted no?

    not really. i think their disgusting and thats my part of my opinion. i was in no way bashing him or his snake (not directly), i was just stating that i think hybrids are disgusting, because to me they are. that would be like, someone coming on the site with a void and expecting no one to be disgusted.

    It's one thing in a thread about hybrids or what have you to discuss what you think of them as a whole. It's another to do it when someone is just sharing an animal they own and are proud of. There's a time and a place for everything.

    Personally, I hate it when people call any of my animals disgusting or when asking me about them immediately respond with "Ugh, I hate snakes!" Or all the dozens of other nasty things people say because they don't like reptiles or think my rabbits are better suited as dinner. It is offensive. Why? Because they're living creatures that I consider to be part of my family and I happen to love them. Not talking species or morph even, but as beautiful living individuals each with their own personality. Even though it's not meant to target my animals specifically, it feels that way.

    It's the same as saying "Ew, I hate children" when someone displays a picture of their child, to me. Which is really just appalling, wouldn't you say? Not because it's meant as a personal attack, but because it is disrespectful.

    Anyway... just my :2cent:.

    Charles... you have an awesome attitude and an IMPRESSIVE collection. To you, I say...

    Hi y'all! I would like to post some pics of our albino hybrid rock/burms het granite, het green and het labyrinth (3 different strains/clutches, not triple het) I just don't know how to go about posting pics on this site. I just joined today and am only familiar with kingsnake and their photo gallery, etc. Can someone please walk me through the process so I can get some pics up? I thank you kindly in advance.
