What Your Playlist Says About You
Well I was doing housework and as usual put on my Housework Playlist and cranked it. One of my neighbours commented on my freaky playlist choices. So what does the following say about me (I always play this when I'm doing housework which is so boring only this playlist makes it bearable LOL).

Get This Party Started - Pink
All Jacked Up - Gretchen Wilson
Hollaback Girl (Remix) - Gwen Stefani with Busta Rhymes & Fat Joe
Good Old Time Rock & Roll - Bob Seger
    SOS - Rhianna
I'm The Only One - Melissa Etheridge
Down At The Twist & Shout - Mary Chapin Carpenter
    Rich Girl - Gwen Stefani
Angel - Shaggy with Jean Paul
Money For Nothing - Dire Straits
Hey Good Lookin' - Jimmy Buffet with Clint Black, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson & George Strait
Who Says You Can't Go Home - Bon Jovi & Jennifer Nettles

    Either it says:

    1) I have a varied taste in musical styles and artists
    2) All the voices in my head have different musical tastes
    3) I play my playlist a tad too loud
    4) If I was your mom you'd either (a) think I was pretty cool for a mom or (b) immediately die of embarrassment!
    5) You'd rather not think about an almost 45 year old woman boogying around her house sweeping the kitchen floor to Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl

P.S. When it's scrub the bathroom day I toss in some AC/DC, Aerosmith, Ozzy Osborne, etc. Cleaning a toilet requires the big guns come out! LOL

Well I think it says you have good taste in music, since I like all of those songs! haha

I usually listen to music in my truck, I should start playing some on cleaning days as well.
When the kids aren't with me I'm almost always listening to Korn, my favorite band for the past 10 years now. When the kids are with me I usually play a soundtrack, of which I have a vast collection/obsession.
Right now in my cd changer:
    Korn- Korn
    NIN- With Teeth
Moulin Rouge- Vols 1 and 2
    Chicago soundtrack
    Rocky Horror Picture Show
    Tank Girl
Aladin- yes, I jam to Aladin :P

It occurs to me that this list screams out "get this woman on meds!"

What's cleaning? I listen to a little bit of everything. I like to go from Korn right into a nice Michael Bolton cut. Then I'll follow it up with some Raffi, then Biohazard and finishing off with the theme from Fraggle Rock.

Ooooh, Korn AND Fraggle Rock! I knew there was a reason you seem like such a cool guy, besides the great advice you've given me

Pantera is good! I have XM radio in the car so I switch around a lot. Hits, old school hip hop, Classic Rock. Whatever...

I need a new Ipod though...

Haha..Mine too (before it broke). Ipods are good for indulging in those musical tastes that you want to keep secret.

My boyfriend got me a 30 gig iPod for my bday (that he is still paying off ;) )

Sadly, it can never reach full capacity because my iPod has more gigs than my computer...isn't that sad!

I listen to everything from Rammstein to Queen to David Bowie to Cradle of Filth to The Eagles.

Joanna, I think it takes very well-rounded people to have such different playlists. So I say: Rock out! :partyon:

Our previous collection read from Alabama to ZZ Top....but right now I've got Alabama, George Strait, some Disney, ABBA, musical soundtracks (like Rogers and Hammerstein), CATS, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, various classical instrumentals, Bob Seiger.....

When I clean, I put on a couple different STYX albums, the Star Wars sound track and anything else that I can crank up loud. Then I find something w/heavy bass to turn up. I usu. end up cleaning after working all night, & so I crank up heavy "active" tunes to help keep me pumped enough to stay awake.

I'll listen to Louie A or Ella, but a little of them go a long way. In our house is everything but (c)rap.

Yay! I am not the only one who appreciates talent!
I am a borderline country fan; kinda dislike the new trendy stuff, but I mainly hate rap.

I remember Fraggle Rock! Viva le Muppets!

Man, my list would be way too long... Karen and I like a weird varied range of music. But Amarin got us on to this Last.fm thing that documents what we're listening to on iTunes at any given time! It's kinda neat, we only just joined up on it though so it only has what we've been listening to very recently on it.

David Bowie & Malice Mizer are at the top of my list though. And I've been listening to a lot of Ozzy lately. I like a lot of the 70s and 80s rock in general. We also have William Shatner's latest "Has Been" :D Good stuff!
