There is still kindness in this world!
I have to share with you all my excitement.

I found an ad in an online classifieds section for a 7' male boa, with a cage and accessories. I called him up, and he didn't want an adoption fee at all. I was like, "Okay, what's wrong with it?" I went to go find out...

This boa was BEAUTIFUL. No wheezing, not agressive, in GORGEOUS shape, feeds on rats every two weeks.

To top it off, he build this amazing plexiglass cage with a divider for water, which has a valve to empty it. He strapped it on top of my car and everything. He even gave me all the lights (including brand new, extra ones) timers, substrate, and extra glass tank to carry him home in and for extra rats, and a pump for a light mister he had set up for the tank.

I guess he was moving to california and just couldn't take him. I am so pleased to see how well taken care of this snakes was- and even more pleased to see that some people don't want to sell their beloved pets (although i do understand the need), just give them to someone who they know will care and love them.

So without further delay, here's tracy, the male boa

That is so flippin' awesome dizz!!!!!! What a steal!!! and plexiglass ain't cheap.....The cage was thought out very well and very imaginative. You can tell the previous owner really put a lot of thought into his pet's needs, and you can tell by the healthy look that boa just simply radiates!!!! And I love that guy's tail!!!! (I looove saying that :P) awesome find. I'm sure you couldn't be more elated. I've had quite a few nice finds, and one or two not-so nice finds....but in the end, the snake got a great home-mine! :D

He's beautiful. I was very lucky (not quite as lucky as you) but I got a female 4+ foot boa named Inga. Her owner was looking to trade but he dropped the price down and shipped her to me because he had read my posts about my bp on another forum and wanted her to go to a good loving home. He said that was more important to him than any money. So I ended up with a docile, healthy sweetie who I fell in love with immediately. When I took her to my own vet, he said she was in perfect health and had been very well cared for. It's nice to hear about people who genuinely care about where their animals end up when they have to part with them.

I know it's been a bit, but I'm just getting the chance to read this thread.

Dizz, what a BEAUTIFUL boy you've gotten. Congratulations on your newest pet!! What a DEAL! and all the goodies that came with such a gorgeous snake. Sorry, but I can't get the pic of the cage to "pop up", but I'm curious what it's like........I'm looking for plans and ideas for a NICE cage for Hera. Right now she's in a tub, but I'm hoping to move her to more of a display, and then eventually I'll ask around for dimensions for a breeder cage for her.

Congrats again!! Your newest is just AAAAWWWWESOOOME!
