    Cyclone ball...whoa!
Did anyone catch this on the RDR forums?

    http://www.ralphdavisreptiles.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7444

Anthony McCain just hatched out a spectacular striped baby that looks almost identical to Jared Horenstein's Super Stripe. :O Anthony labeled his the Cyclone ball. I'm really curious to see the moms...I know they're stripers with really bold yellow stripes...but I want to know what else they have going on. I'm assuming clear belly, some type of head spot or head pattern...

Everyone out there is going to be breeding their stripes to yellow bellies to see what they get...maybe I should breed Misty and Diego to a YB and see what happens... ;)

I don't think mom is your standard stripe. She definitely has some Co-dom stuff going on. That is why he named that female the "Whirl Wind" line.

Makes YB seem like a cheap investment doesn't it. ;)

I want a YB matter what, I think they're stunning looking. There have been a few Ian G. line ones out there that I would have sold my kidney to get. I highly doubt that any of my stripers would make anything special. Spoon and Diego don't have any markers or anything...and the only thing Misty has is a yellow-colored stomach that's clear and bordered by thin black lines. I don't think she's anything spectacular.

I heard from someone that has seen Jared's female that she's not really anything amazing...she's just a striper with a few random clues to being genetic. He said she's pretty dark and blah. I still want to see her for myself...but I doubt Jared would ever let that pic out again. :D

Sputnik, someday yes. Right now I couldn't afford a snake of that caliber...affording my pastel is rough enough (thus the reason I'm selling 2 babies -- to help pay for it).

LOL!!! You can check my computer, I have a huge file of pics of almost every snake I have ever looked at on the computer. I always label them and if those people say they produced something cool, I can go back and look closer. ;) I can only imagine all the pics that Adam has on his computer. LOL!!!!

Oh I know everyone's all gossipy, I think it's hilarious. Some people get so uptight about things or jealous and then act like 5 year olds on a playground. The RDR forums are evidence enough.

I talked to Jon Dvoretz about the SS awhile back when I bought Diego from him. He has a stripe obsession like I do so we were discussing the "special" mom since he'd seen her before. He has the picture somewhere but trying to find it is another story. lol! :D

What do the RDR forums have to do with breeders passing pictures of "secret" breeding projects to each other behind the scenes? I think that you and I are talking about two totally different kinds of "gossip". :confuzd:

For whatever it's worth, some of those so called "5 year olds" over on RDR are very good friends of mine ... care to mention who you find particularly "uptight"? Maybe I can call them up and have a talk with them for you? ;) :sweeet:

It just seems like everyone acts so immature. They're really quick to jump on people or argue about petty things.

Neil is definitely one of them...

I brought up the RDR forums because you mentioned that breeders are gossipy...it goes both ways, in public and in secret. Yes, everyone passes pictures and secret project info to each other behind the scenes, but they also talk about each other in public -- about projects, who produced something first, where someone got an animal or how they got something produced, etc.

Why not bring up Kingsnake, Fauna, TSK, NERD Froums, Clark Forums, etc?? Why single out RDR as if there is some monopoloy over there on gossip?

My "point" was that the "gossip" that I am referring to is not the same as the stuff that gets posted on message boards ... Message boards are a million miles away from the real BP universe ... The message boards are more like "marketing venues" ... the real info gets exchanged over the phone and via email in this biz.

Well apparently not "everyone" ... hence your (and others) request for a picture of Jareds female that produced the super stripes. ;)

Who does? Not the "big breeders" ... you don't see Ralph, Kevin, Tracy, or any of those guys out there on forums doing that stuff ... they don't have to ... the people out there "yapping" are the people trying to be recognized ... they are trying to be recognized so that they don't have to "yap" anymore.

Well, how is that fair to the people that you don't think act like 5 year olds? I have a lot of good friends that post over there that are some of the most experienced and helpful people in the industry ... I think that your "broad generalization" is pretty poo-poo-ey. :partyon:

Personally, I think what would be "better" is if you took a look at some of the self righteous tools that post on your TSK forum and call them names before you start casting stones at the people over on RDR ... after all, you've been a member at RDR what, all of 2 weeks?

As a matter of fact, I think that some of the "people" over at TSK actually are 5 year olds. ;) :8:

But hey, that's just me.
