Poss. Het VPI Axanthic proved out

The first of three poss. het. VPI Axanthic females just proved out. The odds weren't the best, but I'll take it. Not all of the babies are out of the eggs yet, but so far we have 1.1 Axanthics, and 1.3 het. Axanthics. Out of eight eggs, we got two Axanthics. The male het. Axanthic is not in the pic, as he was still in the egg when the pic was taken. 2 more hets left to crawl out. Enjoy the pic.

Tim that's so wonderful! How nice to mark her now as not only a proven breeder but also as proven 100% het VPI Axanthic. Congrats all round buddy!

Thanks Judy and Jo. I can't believe ya'll didn't hear me when I yelled on Friday at the sight of two baby Axanthics. They look so cool as babies.

Thanks everybody, they are more than I coul sak for. By the way, the Axanthic at the top of the pic is the male. All of the other snakes in the pic are female.

Is THAT what I heard Tim LOL. They truly are stunning as babies. I've never had the honor of seeing one except in photo's but it's one of the things on my list to see someday is a hatchling Axanthic.

Jo, if I was closer to Ohio, I would bring one over for you to see, but that's a long drive for me. I will take plenty more pics after they shed. Keep an eye out.

Congrats Tim! ... Axanthics are one of my absolute favorites to hatch out because they kick ace as babies! ... I can't wait for all of my axanthic clutches to start hitting this year!

Too many people "sleep" on their axantic projects, but "something" tells me that this year we'll see how powerful axanthics really can be. ;) :banana:

Awesome Tim!! This is the morph that got me hooked on bp's.. When I saw Ralph at the first Philly show I knew I wanted to produce them.. Cant wait till next year when my dbl hets are ready to go!!

I never really thought much of axanthics until I saw these - they are just SO cool...and dang man, ROCK ON with the gender break down and proving out the mom! =D

Well, the final tally is in. All of the babies are now out, and we ended up with 1.1 Axanthics and 3.3 Het. Axanthics. Thanks for all of the congrats. Also, JAS, what are DH's het for. I'm guessing snow, but you never know, so I thought I'd ask.

Hey Cue, Dad doesn't look to different. He has not browned at all. Ha alittle bit of a purple hue to his dorsal color, but no brown. Axanthics are great.
