Photoshop fun - Before and After
I'm slowly learning a few tricks with Photoshop and Elements. Here are the before and after pics of my 8 Ball male lemon pastel.

Before (lame photographic and lighting skills)

    After

that's a good photoshop, not too extreme or fake looking. using lights that are balanced for daylight or as close as possible will eliminate the need for photoshop.

Actually, it looks very much like the photoshopped one. Here, let me take a picture and I'll show you. :P

True, but I found that it's much easier for me to "fix" a photo and make it look like the subject than it is to adjust the camera and lighting to get the same results. I might be able to get it exact if I had the right lighting and enough time to adjust the settings on something that is a little more stationary, but with my snakes I'm lucky if I can get them in focus half the time.

I finally found an easy way to make cool looking borders on photoshop. Although I'm going to change it slightly from the pic I posted... instead of using percent I'm going to use pixels.

What major piece of software isn't bloatware? Still, it's neat to stumble across some feature that you never new about and at the same time annoying for not having discovered it sooner.

I just switched to QuickBooks this year and I'm really impressed with it ... it covers EVERYTHING, but still "feels" very small ... and it's always snappy with a very small memory footprint compared to most of the garbage that I run.

Doh, forgot about your question. It's a little easier than stroke and you can save an action for it so you can make all of your pics the same. Go to Canvas Size, select 'Relative', then the border size and Canvas Extension Color.
