Oreithyia : Vine Snake Medusa

I did a censored PC version just for you guys! Which shows how much I love ya, cuz I am not at all fond of censoring harmless nudity. :rolleyes: The colors are a bit off, especially the sky, but I was having issues converting it to a jpg for some reason. :bleh: But it's awfully close!

Well...even with the censoring and the slightly "off" colors....that is one wicked looking painting! I love it!!

Thanks guys! She was fun to do, but man all those skinny snakes were a pain to color, lol! Give me a blood python any day. ;)

I already have the next piece, Perseus, penciled. It's in Karen's ink box and I'll get to coloring it soon as it's ready. :)

Really like the vine snake body and her face. I've always liked petite:) Somewhat resembles my mermaid mannequin. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks guys! :) I thought the airy slender vine snake would be a neat contrast to the earthy voluptuous blood. Snakes are the best inspiration, no end of possibilities with these gorgeous creatures.

BTW, this piece was named after a mythological figure! (surprise surprise, lol) Oreithyia was a Greek princess that got whisked away by a wind god to become a goddess of the Northern Wind. :) Just a neat footnote there.

And yup, Alex! Perseus complete with mythological herping gear. ;) After that there's an owl goddess piece I want to do (Blodeuwedd) but I'll be right back on the Medusas after that. :D
