    Snakes in a Flood
Just saw a report on the wheather channel saying that Laurel, MD has experienced some bad flooding

Is 8 Ball Pythons ok? or are we going to see Adam on the wheather channel swimming after his BP morphs?

He seems to be pretty good at security (he mentioned in a thread one time to me that he was getting a security system installed) so I dont think he'll need to worry about ball lotters

I'm sure things are cool. Tonight's cleaning night if I am correct, and he's probably just very busy. ;) The location of his shop would require super, severe flooding to be a risk.

Done. I was wrong. He's finished cleaning, and relaxing. He said all is good at the shop too, thanks to that security system. ;) Of course now I feel bad, because I forgot it's almost 11 there. I was thinking 9:40 isn't too late. ACK ... drat that CST!!

LOL ... "The Shop" isn't anywhere near Laurel, and neither was I last night ... everything is cool ... I'm smart enought to have threats of natural disasters covered anyway. ;)

Thanks for the concern for the snakes everyone. ;) :P

I'm actually not sure yet ... I've pretty much stayed out of the area for the last couple of days ... The area around my "shop" is fine ... I'm headed back to the Laurel area this afternoon to check things out ... so we'll see. ;)

Glad you're covered Adam, cus I don't think that Ark I just made would fit both of our crews together...
It has been some crazy rain.....

That's a relief. I was afraid I might see this headline in the news "Ball Breeder Bears Brunt of Bad Weather" or "Maryland Under Water: Panicky People seen clutching their Balls" :teevee:

    Re: Snakes in a Flood
Man i got flooded horribly today and it wasn't even raining!!!!

we set up in our backyard a 4 foot high, 18 foot diameter, 5000+ gallon pool.

Today, while my brothers were in it a hole opened up in our backyard, apparantly there was a dry well or septic tank that was there like 60 years ago that want sealed porperly and we are suffering for it. the water gushed under our backporch down our basement stairwell, smashed the lock clean of the door, and covered the entire basement (about 1000 square foot) with 10 inches of water)

we've been ripping out carpets and moving things ever since. we just finished "all we could do" for tonite.

thank god my brother in law is an expert with construction and has dealt with severe flooding before.

we're just thankful that one brother who was on the pool ladder was "only " swept up aginst the side of the deck and has some scratches and the other brother, who fell into the hole with the pool, got pulled out by the first brother.

i'll post pics later probably tomorow

Oh geeeez, Alex! That's terrible!! I hope you're able to get that mess cleaned up and the hole in your backyard fixed. I dont envy you all the yucky manual labor ahead of you! (and behind you already today!)

    no joke.
and i had a cruddy day before hand too:sigh2:

i'm working as a lifeguard in a local daycamp and i'm sunburned up the wazoo (not literally, thats actually one of the few 'comfy' areas left) and i had to make a minor save today (distressed swinner, not exactly drowning yet, but will eventually get there) and he dug his fingers deep into my painfully burned shoulder.

    I. AM. ALLOW. TO. BE. CRANKY. VERY. BAD. DAY.

DEFinitely allowed to be cranky! (At least until the sunburn doesn't hurt and the house is dry!) ;) Very glad to hear that no one was seriously hurt!
