Can you guys help me identify the species?

Sorry guys... I took some pics tonight and they turned out so well I wanted to share a few. Meet my niece, Macy Rae! She'll be one year old on July, 3rd.

That is the commonly seen Kiddus Monsterus. Known for wiping dirty, snotty hands on couches, clothes, passing cats. That is a cute specimen you found. :)

I agree with Jamie though I believe it's the well known subspecies "anklus biteri". Best known for drooling on one's best sweater, leaving tooth marks on good leather and having the sweetest smiles ever seen! :)
She's darling Lynn and what a lovely name!

Re: This was crawling around my yard this afternoon...
WOW!!! What an awesome biteri you have there!!! :D
Now that's one critter I'm scared to acquire...nice to see gorgeous specimens in the hands of responsible keepers! You should be VERY proud!
:)

Awww now Kara if you ever get the urge heck I have four of them of various ages and both genders. I'll happily ship you out one :P I believe the larger subadult male to be the morph of the biteri known as the xboxitcus. These ones are super easy keepers...you just prop them close to an electric outlet, plug in the gaming system and your all set. They don't normally strike or hiss unless they either fail level 9 or run out of Cheetos. :D

Jo, darlin', I love ya but NO!!! What you don't realize is that I have one of my own. It just happens to be an adult male that morphed from biteri to evilmorphgodspazipeltis without notice. In other words, he exhibits distinct "oldersomething-going-on-10yrs old" behavior on a semi-regular basis. He's a rare specimen (thank goodness) of the male gender that constantly proves the theory of "while a fine line separates genius & insanity, male immaturity lasts forever."
;)
In all seriousness though, I do love kids a ton. Fortunately there are enough in my family that I can borrow some adorable little ones from time to time. :D

No acquiring here! I'm just as terrified... it will be QUITE a few years yet before I feel experienced enough to keep my own. But I figure I can get some experience in watching this one for my sis... besides, she's sooooo cute, and has a great temperament.
In all seriousness, I love this kid. She's really great. I'm watching her tonight because I'm taking her up to get tubes put in her ears tomorrow... her momma has to work.

See??? That's the best way to do it - borrow them from time to time!
Lynn, Macy Rae (lurve the name, too, BTW) is a DOLLFACE - she must be SO happy to have you for an Auntie!!! :D
Thx for sharing such adorable baby pics...hope y'all are having a BLAST!

Re: This was crawling around my yard this afternoon...
We have great fun together... we hung out in the pool today, then watched a bit of the Lori Bergner Band (a kids band... I have their songs stuck in my head now!), ate some cheesy noodles, and now she's passed out on the floor.
Spoil her rotten and send her back to mom, lol, that's the way to do it!
I plan on getting her a snake when she gets older---taking her to a reptile show and letting her pick one out. Her mom hates them, and so does her grandma, but I figure as long as I keep it at my house, no one can say anything. Ain't I a little :halohorn:
Thanks for the compliments guys! I personally think she's adorable!

Re: This was crawling around my yard this afternoon...
Victor Vito and Danny Vasco ate a burrito with tabasco. Sorry couldn't help myself. ;)
She is absolutely adorable. What a lucky little girl too! I hope her ear tubes go well tomarrow. :D

Re: This was crawling around my yard this afternoon...
YES! Someone else has that song stuck in their head too! That's the one that I always get stuck on... that and "We Are the Dinosaurs," Lol.
I actually found myself sitting there watching the video and humming along while Macy was in the other room--- shhh, don't tell anyone.

Re: This was crawling around my yard this afternoon...
If it makes you feel any better, I do too. I like the one with animals on their head. Susie's got a cow on her head, and she keeps it there all day.
The things we do for the little ones in our lives. :D

Re: This was crawling around my yard this afternoon...
that is a most definatly (contrary to previous opinions) a cash B. spendin`
and not only are they a pain in the butt to raise but getting them to breed with females YOU choose is near impossible. also they are one of the highest level protected species out there, so as a result there is a lot of red tape invovled before getting a shipping license for one or even if you just simply want to sell it...but take heart, it can be done!
GAWD I'm a horrible human being:skullbone

If you're waiting until you feel experienced enough, you'll NEVER have one. They're definitely OJT!!!!!! And I wouldn't have traded it for the world. That's why chat groups and trusted family and friends are soooooooo helpful to new mums and das!!!!
Even w/o Dr. Spock, we've managed quite well as a species (some just better than others! ;) :P )

Re: This was crawling around my yard this afternoon...
Lol :) Well, at least I get some practice in with Macy.
P.S. folks... she's started walking! Whoot!

Re: This was crawling around my yard this afternoon...
What a cutie!
For now, I am fine dealing with my niece on a weekly basis; just starting to toddle, screams for no reason, throws toys at you, etc. For me and my man, we have several specimens of Equus Domesticus Insanus to deal with right now; don't plan on having any humanoid babies. :) For the record though, my niece Will own a snake (if she's into them) and it Will live at our house (hell, it's another way to rationalize getting another one; works for this broad!)
