Look at my new welcome home present!

Yesterday I finished a 16 hour car trip from the beach to home. :bleh: Of course the kids just caaannnn't sleep in, so I'm up. :( So I go to check on my animals, and find this!

Oh Christie how cute is that! What color/pattern is that little one? Lovely color and the tail is marked to pretty! Congrats on your first hatchling!

I don't know what it will look like. I believe it will go through some massive color changes! I will definitely being taking lots of pics. :rolleyes: :D

Now I'm eagerly waiting for the other egg to hatch, and then the 4 others. (she laid another clutch yesterday!!)

It is a little hyper booger, when it actually moves. When I went to transfer the poor thing over into a critter keeper, it just about had a heart attack and totally freaked! :O :rolleyes:

Sooo cute, Christie! That's wonderful to have a successful hatching.

lol, they always freak the first time you have to handle them to put them into their new home. then the next few hours they are exhausted from the whole hatching and freaking process. :P

the best way to determine what it will look like at this point is to look at the parents, but that's not always accurate either. sometimes you just have to wait and see!

I'm not actually sure who the father is of the clutch, so that won't help me at all. I believe she was gravid when I got her. Oh, and the other egg just hatched!! Tee hee! :clap: YIPPEE!! I'll post a pic in a sec.:D

I'm sure he's getting mighty nervous, but he buckles so easy. ;) Remember he's the one to get my daughter the new hamster. :D

As for whether or not I'll keep them, I don't know. I may just keep them since they are my first hatchlings, but then again I may not. I'll have to see. :oops: If I'm this attached to my baby geckos, I don't know how I'll ever give up my bp babies!! ACK!! :O

Thanks everyone for all the compliments. They are just adorable, and ever so spazzy. Now I've got to feed the little boogers. :D

Well you know Christie...since they move pretty quick and fire up to different colors and all that....you could probably convince Russ it's actually only one or two cresties instead of oh say....15!

"yes dear that is the same crestie...it's just jumped over to the left and turned (insert color of the other crestie here)....they do this all the time dear...here's the remote, the tv's set on sports and here's a beer" (this is called changing their focus...always works especially during hockey/baseball/soccer/golf/whatever season!) ;)

At this point you are totally free to go admire your 2 *cough 15 cough* cresties! :halohorn:

But the problem being there are no sports on now, at least until football starts up again. Plus, they're already in the house so I'm cool! (that's usually the hardest part)
