drake went outside today... he climbed onto our lilac bush and refused to let me move him to a stronger branch... so as he got comfy the branch went down to the grass LOL

and he's SUCH a strong willed guy. when i was carrying him outside his head was straight up a foot... looking for something, anything to grab onto and go UP!

i made sure he wasn't near any of the large trees in our yard... i didn't want to get out the big ladder to get him down LOL

WOW!!! You could make any boa look like bubble gum!! That is a very nice boa. I generally don't agree with messing up the hogg island blood lines because there are very few that are still in the wild but that is a very nice little guy!!

I don't either... I bought him as a pure... but unfortunately I didn't end up with one. Fortunately, he's a gorgeous boy and I love him regardless :)

And just so you know there are hoggies in the wild... they are doing really well!

lol, theres a very small population of them left. Talk to Gus from Rio Bravo Reptiles about the differnt localities. Hes seen most any boa in the wild. And not to mention people are selling Hogg crosses off as pure blood and getting other blood lines mixed in to a "pure blood line". I just love the colors on that little guy. Any other pics that show his natural colors?

You should try a little more to come off less condescending on things you don't have much knowledge on. Namely, this topic and live vs ft feeding. When you answers someone's post by starting it with lol, why would they read any further or take anything you say seriously?

ya we are... i contacted a huge hog island breeder and he viewed his photos and agreed with others... his saddles are too pronounced and defined to be a pure.

but hey, he's adorable regardless :wuv:
