    Anyone have a snow boa?
I was Googling (a dangerous pastime, heh) and came across snow Boas; I thought they were simply stunning looking. Anyone here have one? I have read, though, that many of them tend to yellow-up with age.

I'll bet it will stay white with a jungle gene in it. That's my bet anyways. Jungles usually have a cleaner and crisper pattern.

    You guys are too funny!

Well, we have a pair of 04 Anery 66% Het Albinos that we may try to get together early next year, maybe Feb. She should drop 75% Aneries that are 66% Het Albinos and 25% Snow boas, if they prove out.

We also have an 03 female Anery 66% Het Albino that we'll be pairing up this December with our male Albino. If she proves out we should get 50% the litter being Aneries Het Albinos and the other 50% being Albinos Het Aneries.

Either way, we should end up with a good number of Snow Boas in 2007 best case or 2010 worse case, hopefully 2007! :D

The pet store I used to work at and still go to for feeders has a large female snow, and she is a lot more yellow than the babies seen at the link above this post. They have had her for 3 years, breeding her with an aldino male and a hypo male, and each time she gave birth the babies were all slugs. They blamed the first time on antibiotics, and this season they don't know why it happened.

That's what Gerry was saying above. When they get older, that "white" turns to "yellow". One day we will all learn the trick of keeping them white.

I'm sure we'll figure out how to keep those Snow Boas white sooner or later. Either adding Jungle into the mix or maybe even a Super Motley! Hopefully we'll have a Snow or two soon to play around with in the next 1-3yrs.

    Hello Everyone!

I've never posted on here before but have some friends who tell me what a great forum this is and I'm always looking for good forums to participate in!

Anyways, I just wanted to share a few photos of our female Snow Boa. These are older photos and I haven't had a chance to take any new pictures of her recently. She is starting to yellow-up a little bit but I kind of like it. At first I didn't but I saw an adult that was just neon yellow and white and it was one of the most beautiful boas I have ever seen!

So...I don't really mind the yellow at all now. Although a totally white one would definitely be cool - I wonder what the Sharp strain Snows will look like...??

    Thanks,
    Celia Chien

Hi Celia, it's great to see you around here! This is a great forum (one of my favorites). I joined since interested in Ball Pythons and found a great group of boa lovers here as well.

You guys have a great collection over at EBN!
    Keep those pics coming!
