    They hatched!
No, not my kingsnake eggs. Those turned purple and green and are in the garbage.

Can you guess what these ugly little fuzz balls are? No cheating by looking at my collection list in my profile! ;)

    Is that a regurge? :D

I couldn't begin to guess what that thing is other than it being in the bird family (at least I hope I'm right about that). :P

Anyway, Cograts on the new additions! Baby animals are always cool. :colbert2:

Haha.. some regurges look better than these two! They are indeed doves.. ringneck doves. Not very graceful at this point. Though the adults aren't really either. The adults are clumsy and when they fall off a perch or trip over each other, they laugh. Yes, doves laugh. It's quite funny really.

-Dies.- I was thinking that when I checked it out at first. It does look like a regurge. Oi. What is it? What is it?!

Oh there is two there, not one. Geez if that was one bird that would be terribly hideous.. even more so then they really are! lol

At least God gave them a sense of humor to go with that cluminess, hehe...

Wow, those ones look a lot different than the ones at our local zoo. Ours are white/grey with a black ring.

The domestic ringneck dove is descended from the African ring dove.

    Re: They hatched!
No, I don't know how, and I don't have the time. I wouldn't want to accidentally make them aspirate the food anyway.. I know no one to teach me how to do it.

Ringneck doves tame easily anyhow, and they are such excellent parents, I'll let nature take it's course.

Ohh they are awesome April! Cant wait to see them get bigger and pretty!

I was lookin at those in a local pet shop and LOVED the noises they make... actually considered one of those rather than any other bird. My daughter has a cocktiel thats soooo noisey..... but, they are actually very expensive birds locally here.

    Re: They hatched!
ah you have a male cockatiel! have you tried adding another tiel? they are often less noisey when they have a friend to chat to instead of 'calling' out to you to get some attention!

we have 6 tiels, budgies, canaries and a parrotlet... and it's wonderful music!

Yeah we did get it a friend..and it got worse.. so much so I told my daughter she had to find another home for the new one after a couple of weeks. At one time I had just one lone love bird, he was great and not so noisey..got another.. and the noise was unbearable.

To top it off, the bird she has now, even makes noise at night when its cage is covered...

Beautiful doves, Shelby! Erm... the adults, poor baby birds of most species aren't going to win any beauty contests. ;) Conga-rats on the hatching though!

I love the noises they make.. coo coo coo all day long.. and the occasional dove-laugh.

I've got the doves, an american singer canary, and two bronze mannikin finches (plus my mom has 5 finches) so it sounds almost like a jungle when they all sing.
