Watch out guys; Petco stepped up.
My boyfriend just called me to say that Petco in West Seneca has an albino BP in stock. He said the price was 2500 (!?) Not sure if was male or female, I am betting male. :)
    What's next; Pieds at PetsMart?

Soooo, r u going to get it?:P JK. I know your going for a spider or jungel pastel.

Anyway, im just speechless about this. Im hoping this is a petco that tries to take good care of their animals. Lets just hope some guy with spare money doesnt just walk in and think its cool and just buys it, lets hope it goes to a good home.

I have rescued/adopted four unwanted BPs over the years from Petco......with a lot of praying, maybe that guy will decide later on he doesn't want it anymore and drop it off...:P..(hey one can hope, right?)

This Petco isn't that bad. They use aspen as a substrate, have those little molded plasticy cave thingies for hides, and on the cage for the BPs they have a little blurb that includes "requires an UTH."
I would never buy it; it seems too overpriced to me. It was just interesting to notice; how long will it be before they have Pastels.. and other morphs? I have already seen pastels at a pet store not far from here, Markheim had some.

I've also seen Pastel BP's here at the PetCo by the house. At least with this one I know they belonged to one of the teens that works in the fish department. He had 2 or 3 clutches and placed them for sale there. I think they were asking $500.00ea, but weren't nice specimens at all!

Three weeks later when I went to pick up some fish food, they were gone. I asked him about the Pastels and he said they sold a pair to one guy and the others sold as well. I'm sure with the taste of quick $$ in his mouth, I'll see plenty more Pastels and other morphs in this PetCo next year.

So, lemme get this straight......the guy that works there is selling his own snakes and housing them at Petco???? From my experience, that is a big no-no.(totally against Petco policy) If corporate comes in there and finds out, he'll get fired for sure!

That's what I thought as well at the time being a big chain store, but I guess it depends on the store or store manager. I'm sure it happens a lot more than we think.

No. Every Petco store is "goverened" by corporate policy and rules......it is a chain corporation and managers just can't "make their own rules". I should know firsthand because I worked for Petco for over six years. There was alot of "rules and policies" that my friends and I didn't agree with or thought made sense from a "business type view", but because that was "corporate policy", we had to obey. So, I don't know what's going on at that store, but I bet it aint policy!
