Re: Camera?
I have a little Canon S200 Elph - has a decent macro (though the autofocus beam at <6" is rarely on the target) and has been through hell and back for 5 years and never skipped a beat (knocks on wood).
I inherited it from the wife after I bought her a smaller cuter more megapixely version of the same - cannot recall the model number of hers at the moment - but all our pics posted here were taken with the older model.

Re: Camera?
i use a nikon 5900 right now around 300 or so. any 3 meg. camera will do for internet purposes. a basic tripod(not fancy) and some bright lights will do wonders for pics and close-ups. i use daylight balanced flour. tubes for bright shots, you can find them at lowes/depot.

Re: Camera?
We have a Fuji Finepix 52s (digital cam, 10x optical zoom lens. I LOVE this camera; it rocks. Here are a few pics it took:
I use a Minolta DiMage Z2 and I wuv it. It has a macro and a super macro mode, plus lots of other goodies. It takes awesome photos, even in bad lighting. I paid around $375 for it from www.butterflyphoto.com.
That's an awesome picture, but it really is too big. Would you like to shrink it some, or prefer for it to be linked?

Re: Camera?
I'm looking to get a camera too - I want one that is rechargeable (our current one isn't and it's a pain)
Anyone got one of these Fuji FinePix E900 Digital Camera [9MP 4 X Optical Zoom] ?
or Nikon Coolpix - it says it has a Supported Battery: 1 x Li-ion rechargeable battery ( included ) - do these rechargeable batteries get recharged using the computer? Sorry - I'm a complete geek with it comes to cameras ...

Re: Camera?
We have a Canon Powershot A510 3.2MPix, it's ok for the $150.00 we paid for it.
Still learning how to use it and trying to figure out lighting, etc. We've thought of upgrading, but figure we'll learn the ins and outs first before buying another camera.
I think good pictures are more about learning to use the camera and lighting Vs an expensive camera. I've seen some crappy pictures with $1000 cameras and some great pics with $200 cameras.

i have a fuji S3000 - absolutely love it! i take a lot of really close up shots for my magazine and they always turn out soooo great!
we use rechargable batteries and i have other ones in my camera bag in case the recharge ones go dead... but mine last a long time so it's not often a problem.
here's a review (which i didn't read) but also a pic:
