More pics of the new little female

Here's a few quick shots of the new little female Mike got for an early Father's Day present from me. We didn't want to stress her with too many pics and please excuse the quality. I still suck at this digital stuff LOL. We did also weigh her and she's 110 grams and about 14 inches long, she has a quite visible belly slit and a lot of pinkish sort of hue to her sides still (don't know how much this all matters)...anyone want to hazard a guess on how young she might be?

Anyway...here she is...required belly shot and all (would hate to disappoint Cue! LOL)

She's a normal Basuca. I actually found her at a local pet store and though I haven't bought a snake from a pet store in awhile she just really appealed to me so home she came.

LOL Christie, well at least tonight she didn't glare at me then come at me with a full open mouth. I didn't get to touch her much. Mike on the other hand already has her accepting chin rubs...geesh....Daddy's Girl is right! :rolleyes:

Based on her size and shape, I'd say she is an early May hatch and can't have been in the states for more than a couple of weeks going from importer to distributer to pet store.

Jo, she is smaller than Dax, so she is younger than 8 months, but bigger than the 3 week old baby I held at the pet store. Sorry, I know that does not help much. She is adorable!!! Are you going to bred this one too? Was Mike suprised?

Thanks Adam, that's what I figured (sure she's a cb Mr. pet store man and I just fell off the boat myself last week LOL). She's in full quarantine and will get the usual fecal, etc. before she's allowed near the new BP room.

Thanks everyone for the estimates on age. We'll just go with May 1st as an estimated hatch date then for our records and call it good. Oh and she has a name as of today, Mike picked it....

Muirne....pronounced mer-nu or mer-na....celtic of course....in the legends she was Finn McCool's mother....her name means "high spirited" which suits this little one to a T.
