A lot of us use the plastic trays underneath planter pots. Jamie has a bunch of pics of his on one of the threads a little further down. They come in different sizes and the Balls seem to love them.

Most definitely. Two of my three big girls won't use them, but they will go under the paper at times. All of my small and medium Balls use them except for one, but oddly enough she's my most consistent eater.

I give hides to all of my ball pythons, for larger females I use cat litter pans from Wal-mart turned upside down with a large hole drilled in the bottom (or top). Here is a pic of my female albino laying eggs inside of hers.

I offer every single snake at my facility a hide ... some use them, some don't.

I use these for hatchlings ...

(I buy them at home depot and drill them out myself)

These for sub adults and males ....

    http://www.8ballpythons.com/images/medium-hide.jpg

(I buy them in bulk from www.reptiletubs.com)

and these for the monsters ....

    http://www.8ballpythons.com/images/large-hidebox.jpg

(I order them with my adult rack systems from www.freedombreeder.com)

Once I start pairing males and females in the fall I remove hides from the breeder girls and leave them out until they lay ... Over the years I've found that the stress of constantly disturbing the hide during breeding season to check for copulations, ovulations, sheds, and eggs out weighs the benefits of having a hide at all ... so now I just pull them.

Good for adults ... I prefer (as the snakes seem to prefer) smaller for juvis and sub adults.

Great... well i will post pics when I am done.. I am doing a modified version of the iris rack tutorial..

here is another question... does anyone know if the flexwatt would melt coroplast ( this is the stuff used to make those election signs you are starting to see pop up) may save some money so you dont have to buy plywood

the stuff is pretty weather resistant and pretty cheap once elections are over ;)...

I have used it alot and it is easy to cut and work with. I make giant hoods out of it for my falcons and hawks

some some ideas i am thinking about

Well i dont think it would be good for under the flex watt. it will break down from the cont heatof the flex watt.. but i think it would be a great alternative to plywood in other parts of the rack

    just thinking out loud
