Mike's Early Father's Day Gift (aka Joanna couldn't resist!)
Okay what can I say...I'm a weak willed woman who falls for every cute BP face that comes along and this one came along with an wonderful attitude to boot (you all know how much I love a bit of naughty in our snakes LOL). I popped her fairly easily and as far as I can tell she's a she though I'll confirm it later with probing once she's settled in. She's Mike's early father's day gift though the poor guy's at work right now and doesn't even know I just came home with another snake. :D

I just fell in love with her pattern. No alien heads to speak of and just so appealing to my eye. She's a good eater and quite the little chub. She was a pet store find (had just come in and is supposed to be a cb but since I'm not that trusting a soul she's fully quarantined away from all the rest of the snakes).

No name as yet. I'm hoping since she's meant as a gift for Mike that he'll choose a lovely name for her. Likely yet another unpronounceable, hard as heck to spell celtic one LOL.

I think she's only a month or so old by her length but she's got a lovely heft to her, no retained shed I could see, clean vent, eyes....just all and all a lovely little BP. Sure hope the hubby likes her! :D

LOL nope she's just a lil bit of a thing. I just took them as close up as I could without blurring too much...still haven't figured out that macro thingy-ma-jig on the digi cam yet. I'll give her some time and then properly measure and weigh her for our records and let you know. I know she's smaller than Malachi was when we got him in from Adam and Mal was 4 months old back then, so I'm figuring chunky butt or not, she's likely a couple of months old or thereabouts.

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments. She just stood out from the other babies they had so I scooped her up fast since there was a few other folks eyeing the new BP babies along with me LOL.

Now I'd love to tell you more about lil Miss No Name but I have to go run stare at her tub again. She's nicely tucked up in her warm hide. Does this new snake excitement ever change - each one we get is like the first all over again (well except for the ice cold fear...that's subsided nowadays to a general "hey I haven't checked the new snake is almost 20 minutes!!!!" sorta thing LOL)

Well Mike got in from work late last night and was very pleased with the new little BP. Of course I told him how she struck repeatedly at me and when he took her out for a quick look over she only jabbed at him once then acted like a little princess LOL. Sucking up to Mike, wouldn't ya know it :P

I knew he'd love her! Even with the other snakes - it's still the one that has to acclimate that you want to hold the MOST! LOL probably because we haven't had the chance to thorougly examine and memorize ever marking on them! LOL

Mike hasn't had a chance to name her yet Cass. Poor guy just got hit with a heavy summer chest cold so lord knows what name he'll come up with whacked out on cold meds LOL ("why'd you name your snake robitussin/nyquil/dimitap"). Oh btw the spoiled little brat didn't bite Mike, she did however, make a full open mouthed swing at ME when I approached her and Mike. As soon as I backed up, she settled down for Mike very nicely. Little brattling snake! :)

Mike named her Muirne, pronounced mer-na or mer-nuh, from the Fin McCool legend...she was Finn's mother and he avenged her death....it means "high spirited"

Wow...what a little chunky monkey!! I wish I could get away with a gift like that for my hubby! After my Mother's Day bid for cresties didn't work, I tried to convince him that he wanted some for Father's Day. LOL He's a stubborn one, for sure!

Thanks hon for the wonderfull fathers day present. Thanks everyone for their intrest in our newest little girl.Might not name her after cold medicine but if you drink the bottle fast enough you see things lmao. Can't say enough about haveing another female snake in the house our collection will soon be out of hand lol, but she's a beauty and should turn into a really nice snake to breed.
