1.0 100% het albino what type of female
what are some good mutations to breed this male too. Just looking for ideas to get my brain movin
thanks

Re: 1.0 100% het albino what type of female
Why would you want to breed him to anything other than a het albino female or albino female? Any other morph will produce 50% possible hets, and you would need to prove them out.
If that's the route you want to take, then you could look at breeding him to a Piebald or Spider for some nice albino mixes down the road.

Unless you have a lot of room, a lot of resources, and want to start a big project
either an albino or a het albino.
If you breed him to a visual co-dom you could sell the visual c0-dom babies as 50% het for albino, or hold them all back and prove them out.
Unfortunately I think the answer here is, if you have enough money to spend on co-dom or visual recessive females, it might be a better route to get a visual albino male, so that you can produce 100% hets of albino with whatever female you choose.
So, on a side note to just address what looks cool with albinos:
Spider albinos are cool :)
Piebald albinos are cool :)
Genetic stripe albinos are cool :)
Pinstripe albinos are cool (I think? :)

Sevo, if you're serious about getting into ball morphs, you need to order yourself a copy of The Complete Ball Python, by Kevin McCurley of NERD. You can get that book at their website, www.newenglandreptile.com, or amazon.com or wherever else. I got mine right from NERD and Kevin signed the inside cover!

Don't waste an albino female on a het male ... get a 100% het albino girl or girls for him ... or even better, 50% and/or 66% possible het girls!! ... Possible hets rock!
:D

Have you gotten a good percent of homozygous animals when you have "taken your chances" with possible hets, Adam???

This may not be what Adam was referring to, but a big benefit of poss hets are that they are cheaper, and worst case scenario when breeding them to homozygous males are that you get 100% hets :)
If 3 66% hets cost the same as 2 100% hets, and your male can handle an extra female, at odds you get the same number of visibles, and more babies overall.

LOL ... Possible hets are one of the great "equalizers" in the biz ... there are others, but with possible hets and some luck, you can roll just like the guy that spent the money on 100% hets with a lot less of an investment. Helps keep the playing field more level. ;)
Don't sleep on the possible hets ... well, girls at least. :P

Pick a morph that you like and go for it!! :D
I wouldn't do a 66% het pair ... too risky ... a 100% het or homozygous male with a few 50% or 66% het girls is cool or a pair of 100% hets to get started is awesome!
I like to run possible het girls to my homozygous males as an "extra bonus", but I always start out with at least 1 100% het girl so that I know "for sure" that I will get the morph I want! :D ;) :P

Re: 1.0 100% het albino what type of female
How much are 66% Het albino females going for. I can't remember ever seeing any for sale anywhere.

Re: 1.0 100% het albino what type of female
most of the time you can find 50%/66% het girls for roughly 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of the 100% het girls. another good thing on poss. hets is that, even if they don't prove out, you still have breeder normal girls to put with co-dom males!!!
