I'm actually really wanting another ferret. I'm trying to wait until the numbers are reduced in the house, but unfortunately it will be awhile. (that was sooo totally off topic - sorry  )

How do you like the hermit crabs? I would like to get one, but my kids freak out whenever they see them. lol.

The crabs don't do much, nice display pet. They can pinch very hard when provoked.

We were looking at ferrets today, they just require to much time and maint. for us right now.:)

They do require a lot of work, but with two small kids I think it would be a welcome critter in a couple years. They're just so darned adorable.

Of course those millipedes are pretty cool too, and they don't pinch.

Congrats on your new little guys. Do you have any pics of their setup?

Sweet! Hermit crabs are so cool! We had one....many years ago...named Hermie. He passed away quite suddenly and totally unexpectedly. And now...after reading your post about how they shed out....I'm wondering if I, too, fell victim to that ignorance, and buried a perfectly good crab. :( Poor little guy!
