Our first morphs to hatch

Well, I got see my first BP morph hatch on Monday https://ball-pythons.net/forums/imag...es/biggrin.gif . From a lemon pastel to normal pairing, 9 eggs - 1.5 normal, 2.1 pastel. I was too busy being excited about seeing the pastels hatch to be too bummed on the odds, plus the normals are some of the lightest colored babies I've ever seen (mom is my favorite normal in the collection!). We still have a few pastel clutches cooking, so hopefully they will make up for it in the coming weeks. I will post pics soon.

I knew I should've waited to share the news until I had pics to show-off, but I got impatient. It's gonna have to wait 'til tomorrow, as we still don't have internet access at home, and I still haven't uploaded the pics from my camera. Thanks for all the kind words though! I really like the connecting eye stripe too. Dad almost has it (it is broken, but you can tell it is the same pattern), and it is on all three pastels, but none of the normals. I wonder if it is linked to the pastel gene somehow. Either way it seems to be inheritable.

Congratulations again........ and thank you for the pics. That is a dream come true. I can not wait until next season when my male pastel is ready and willing. LOL awsome job and good luck with the babies!!

What beauties! The normals and the pastels are all gorgeous though the pastels with that connecting stripe are just breathtaking. Can't wait for more pics after their first sheds.
