Here's the newest beeb(Pictures are links to the bigger picture)
Well, here she is, the little few-weeks-old cutie patootie blackback granite. She feels quite healthy and has good muscle tone(better than some I saw at that show). One of her sisters(just another female from the same group) has already eaten, so I guess I will try her tonight or tomorrow and see what she says. I have weighed her and she is 75g, and 16" long. I think a good-sized hopper/small adult will work for her, she's pretty good sized.

    Anyway, here she is:

There was a good number of them, yes. New babies at 2 tables in particular and another breeder that I didn't recognize had a few of them that were slightly older(more expensive than they should be...). There was another table that had hets, and new babies hatching(Mojaves), but I didn't see anything I liked.

I did have fun sifting through all of the new CH babies. It's so funny when they try to strike at you, or you are holding them and they strike at a heat lamp. Little cuties.

I mainly went to trade out my Rosy Boa male from Earthtones. He had become a quite aggressive biter and couldn't be held. Didn't hurt me if he bit, but I didn't want him to rip out any teeth and get mouth abscesses from it. He'll be staying with them as a breeder as Jasper wanted to keep the snake anyway when I bought him last year at the Constrictors Expo. Oh well, he'll have a good home.

What a cutie pie she is!

When I went to my first show in Atlanta, Rich from HerpEnclosures had a tub of new imports and there was one that was striking at everyone and he had a pretty good range, got me three time! I finally said to Rich's son - "This little guy needs to go in time out!" He finally fished him out and let him calm down in his own little deli cup under the table.

Yes, Dillinger was nicknamed Professor Doom... I wonder why. He wasn't even a year old and was already on hopper mice, the fatty. Even if you had gloves on, he would try to bite you, I have no idea why. I would wash my hands, arms and change my shirt, but he would still go for ya. He ate every week though, never a refusal.

He was very sweet and handleable when he was younger, but one day I think it just snapped in his little brain that he could bite, regardless of what you smelled like, regardless of how often or how less you handled him, and bite he did. Don't have a clue what set him off...
