    Indiana reptile shows. Valpo, Indy...
Do any of you frequent these? There used to be one in Ft. Wayne but to the best of my knowledge it closed. There used to be a few breeders who set up at the Wolf Lake Giant swap but last I was there I saw no reptile vendors so that leaves Valpo and Indy that I know are in the area.

Valpo is pretty small but some months it's really not bad. I was going to go next Saturday but schedule changes prohibit it.
If it didn't take me 3 hours to get there I'd go to Indy on Sunday. Drat living in the boonies.

    I actually drive a '97 Ford Taurus... :P

I live an hour south of South Bend. In an iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitty bitty town. Takes me three hours to get to Chicago (if I drive, by train it takes 2) 3 hours to get to Indy and an 1.5 hours to get to Ft. Wayne.

You probably have an interstate to take. If you live in Northern Indiana you have to live with US 31 going through towns with 12 stop lights - that are all RED for you!!!

By the way, I went to Valpo last month for the show and it wasn't there. No sign, nothing.

Last months show was cancelled. I get the email notifications so I knew ahead of time.

And so true about 31! It's a straight shot yes but dang such a pain.

Okay, just figured it up again and it's about 2.5 hours. Not a whole three. Last time I was down there was for a horse show last year. My memory slips.

So does anyone have any info on the Ft. Wayne show? Did it in fact dry up? I know that when I talked to Bryan Kollwitz last he wasn't sure it would last. Though I do see him at Valpo on occasion.

Don't know about the Ft. Wayne show. It's not showing up on Kingsnake at all... and they have a pretty big list of shows.

I'm originally from Greensburg, southeastern part of the state. Used to go to the Indy show every month with my mom (though he hated snakes, we still talked her into all sorts of other critters ;)). Moved to Ohio for school, started going to the Columbus show.

The Indy shows were always pretty good, from what I remember. Usually fairly large. But it's hard justifying driving 2.5 hours for a show... it's hard justifying driving 2.5 hours to get home just to spend a day with the family. Gas prices suck!!!

Oh yeah, the gas prices are nuts. The Ft. Wayne show hasn't been on KS for awhile. The website is www.fortwaynereptileexpo.com but I haven't seen if it works in the last month.

The Indy show kinda STUNK this month. - I'm there every month picking up worms and crickets and visiting with folks from the Hoosier Herp Society, and there were less than half the normal number of exhibitors this month.

Very odd - I'm wondering if there was a another, larger show somewhere in the region?

Oh well, I got my 500 superworms AND a great parking place!

The Indy show is pretty good I try to go every month, only 2 hrs from Cincy but its still good. Check out Will Bird for some high end stuff, also Quality Rainbow boas have a good booth too.
