Anybody going to the Richardson show??

Are any of you crazies going to the Richardson show this weekend in Texas?

Would be nice to meeting some board peeps in person :D

~heavy sigh~ I wish!! One of these days, maybe I'll be able to time a trip to Dallas at the same time a herp show is on. (I grew up in the D/FW metroplex and still have all our family in or around there, so we try to get out there at least once a year.)

That's awesome Judy!! You should try and swing by in mid summer. Bob Clark puts on a killer show that really draws in the vendors.

When in mid summer? We're planning a two week(ish) trip out there probably last week of July - first week of August...but nothing has been set yet.

Because I had originally planned on making our Dallas trip much later in August and leaving the kids with grandparents while Dean and I slipped away to Daytona for a little "2nd honeymoon"... :giggle: ....but, it turns out the kids start school on Aug 15th, so we had to scrap that whole plan.

But now maybe I'll still get a chance to drag him to a great show and let him see for himself how exciting ball python morphs can be!!

It's on my calendar now...and I will definitely be keeping that in mind when we make our final plans for that trip. And it'd be great to get personal introductions to some of the breeders! (And Dean's a total cheap date because he only drinks soda and tea! :P )

I'm goin'! Will be there Sunday though. Having to take back a Rosy Boa to his breeder, and who knows what I'll come home from the show with(uhoh...).

Anywho! I'll be the girl wearing the red Rattlesnake Inn t-shirt.

It wasn't a good turnout... Ok... It stunk... Like something dead in your garage for a week in the 105 degree heat and 90% humidity.

ANYWAY.

Yes, I did come back with a few things. 500 crickets and 2 baby Ball Pythons that were a few weeks old and have shed and eaten once or twice. Got 2 females, a weirdly patterned girl that had weird markings of white along her sides and outlining her flames and alien heads. The other little girl is a blackback granite. Bottom half of her body is pumpkin orange, she has lovely little granite markings all in the alien heads. Plus, she's struck at my face and random things a few times the past couple of days. So silly :) We paid $20 apiece for them. The little high-white girl went with a friend in Dallas who has been wanting a Ball for awhile, and the other little girl is at a friend's house here in Waco being quarantined along with the rescue I have.

It was fun for me because I know a few of the breeders and hang out with them at every show. Margaret from Earthtones is hilarious and her Beardies are gorgeous. I kept running back and forth with baby Balls to Steve Hammock's(HISS) table so he could pop them for me(boy, boy, GIRL, LoL).

But anyway, "I" had fun just because I knew a few people there, but for the normal every-day person, it was pretty slim-pickin's.

Oh yes, definitely. I've made it the past 2 years and won't miss it this year. It's a pretty good show with a good turnout. Hopefully I won't come back with tooooo much, hehe.

I'll get pics of the cutie patootie new beeb soon. She's very pretty, just a turd. Hissed at me today and I was just so scared... yes... scared(have to make sure they don't get a complex).
