Temps / thermometer....
I saw a thread today on here that I can't seem to find (over looking?) that someone told someone else on here that Target has good thermometers and that they have one with a probe that would work well on cool side, and to use the probe for the warm side. I went to target today and didn't find what said person was talking about. Does anyone know of the name or brand of it, the price by chance....

Re: Temps / thermometer....
It actually ended up being in the background of a pic I took today for cue....you can kinda see in one of the tubs....Holmes makes it, it was 9.99 at target.

Okay looking on the site I found, THIS ONE. Not Holmes, but looks a bit like the one you have/same price....

Re: Temps / thermometer....
Yeah I've got one of those too, but that one doesn't measure humidity.

Re: Temps / thermometer....
If you have trouble finding the right one at Target...try WalMart and look for the Acu-Rite indoor/outdoor thermometer. It's usually in the hardware section.

Re: Temps / thermometer....
We must be getting pretty picky around here......I got a negative rating for commenting in this thread.....I said I got the thermometer at target....maybe a wal-mart employee?

Re: Temps / thermometer....
Allison,
That one will work really well, as long as you remember which side is your "outside" temp. ;) Once I learned about those, all my newer setups have them. Saves a little extra money, because you only need ONE unit for hot/cold sides, AND the humidity......not 3 units all separate.
If it's not in hardware, check the yard stuff (garden thermometers, etc.). Our Wal-Mart had four or five of them. For my bigger two snakes in the tubs, I've tie-wrapped it to the side so they can't tip it. < It's just not QUITE as accessible for clearing temps (if U want to keep checking the hi/lows) > but in my tanks, I have it sitting in the bedding in a corner.
Hope this helps. :)

Re: Temps / thermometer....
There's a different model Acu-Rite thermometer that has the time, a light if you push a button, the min-max feature, and the indoor/outdoor and humitidy that I got from Wal-Mart for $11. I couldn't find a link.
